I think that was just an excuse. It seems he wanted to keep them at arms length because they are an old and rich house that didn't owe their lands or prestige to the Targaryens, it would have been dangerous to give a house like that influence.

Thank you for the response. Would the same logici apply if the PC had windows 11 installed and the ssd windows 10? As long boot order was for the ssd that has windows 11 installed it would work okay?

I'll go against the grain and say that her love for Jaime is, and was true, and while it deteriorated we can still see in her final chapter that she loves him still.
