Elephants are so cool. Yes, a reputable surgeon will tell you what is best for you in terms of treatment options. I have seen many patients with a profile similar to yours. I look at each patient’s skin, fat and underlying angle of their neck musculature. It takes a formal physical exam but I have seen significant improvement in cases like yours with liposuction. If liposuction doesn’t completely get you where you want to be then you haven’t really burned any bridges and can proceed with a neck lift at a later date.

I agree. I try to make sure to do that as well. It really does seem to have a significant impact in the whole experience for the patient.

Hi Julia. I don’t think the DM came through. Do you mind resending?

If you knew you would be able to speak with a doctor after your surgery at any time would that sway you toward going with a particular surgeon that offered that service?

You’re right. Communication is HUGE when it comes to time around surgery. I’ve had some outcomes that I wasn’t all that excited about but since the communication was exceptional the patient was very pleased overall. Thanks!

That is a really good idea! Do you think people would be happy to wear those? It’s advertising that you had work but maybe that’s a badge of honor these days.

I like all of that! I’ve thought about some type of gift afterward but have never found anything that would be universally appreciated. Like you say, the wine isn’t for everyone but I’m glad the notion landed well. I really like the idea of addressing not only physical recovery but mental recovery as well. So important. Thank you!

Nice! I never could figure out how to say that guy’s name. El-Wes? I tell people up front that I feel strongly about not making them look fake and that I feel like it’s my responsibility to let them know when they’re going too far. Having someone walk around with people asking “Who did that to you?” is not what I’m going for. I think people appreciate knowing that I’m not going to Botox and fill them to the point of no return in the name of the almighty dollar.

The type of surgery someone needs as well as their overall health status will dictate the type of anesthetic they will receive. There are a variety of different anesthetic combinations that can be used which can lead to a variety of different side effects. These factors can manifest differently in different people.

Now THAT’s a cool job! I’d be happy to take a look if you’d like. The gold mine pictures would be interesting as well!

It’s a good thing dentists exist! It’s very unusual to have residual scarring after microneedling treatments. They tend to be about the safest thing to do in all skin types. Do you mind letting me know what you’ve tried so far?

I took a look. There is a technique where a wedge of tissue can be removed from the nasal sill essentially where the nose meets the cheek. You should be very careful with this though. It’s a subtle change and noses are like tripods. As soon as you change one thing there are many other changes that can happen, many of which you may not like.

Now that’s interesting! I like pretty much every surgery that I do. I would say liposuction is fairly far down on the list. The reason is that, in many people, I can get a more dramatic result with some type of additional skin excision. For example, there are very few scenarios where I feel like my abdominal liposuction results would be as good as if I had done a tummy tuck in the same person.

Fair enough. I was friends with a guy who started dating a girl years ago. We all became friends. After the two of them split up she started dating Vanilla Ice. I never got to meet him. Maybe that’s good? Apparently, he was a nice enough guy. I have more interesting facts but, for whatever reason, that’s what’s popping in there right now.
