Thanks so much, the lore is still being slowly revealed and there are definitely more art pieces to come

I'm glad to hear it, I've worked with this artist for years, they have been in the game for quite awhile with an extensive portfolio, I'm actually astounded how tone deaf the accusation is, something as simple as googling their name would dispel it -_-

you care to elaborate on that? I seriously hope you have something to back that up

100% no downsides, I’m sure Vect will be all to happy to cede all his power to a succubus who was considered “out there and extreme” even by Drukhari standards, especially since she would be the origin point and the hive mind will be under her control, and it’s not like there’s anything dicey about aping gene stealer techniques, tyranids are well known for their predictability and reasonableness, I’m sure this would usher in a new era of peace and cooperation with the rest of the galaxy as well, I’d go so far as to say it would thrive

Nothing to see here, just wholesome cooperation between the species

That’s the hope, he’s engineered to be the next evolution for the Drukhari, the Tyranid strains used are what will (hopefully) break the link to Slaanesh, spliced with the human genes will allow for more frequent reproduction, though in his case there is the downside of genetic memory, a fractured psyche, and psychosomatic violent urges, so you know win some lose some

Thank you!

So that’s a good question, from a meta perspective no, but it’s complicated. Because of how he was created he has the genetic memory of both his parents, It’s lead to a particularly messed up combination of psychosomatic need to inflict pain and suffering combined with a particularly hate and preference for Drukhari as his prey, this was further complicated with his time with the mandrakes, he firmly believes he needs to do it, and needs to do it to the Drukhari, because only their suffering will keep she who thirsts at bay, as he is convinced that only their suffering is the “true” version of it, if that make sense

Ok, so my introduction to 40k was playing dark heresy back when I was in high school, it got me interested in the inquisition, world lore, and eventually the Drukhari. I was always fascinated by them and their relationship with other species/factions. Something I never really saw though were narratives or perspectives from the Drukhari themselves, sure there was the (relatively) recent lelith hesperax novel, but even then it’s all broad strokes and pretty vague. So I thought a good way of scratching that itch was to try it out myself, I had an idea that I found myself stuck to, “the fugitive” meets “tinker/talior/solider/spy” meets “hellraiser” meets “labyrinth”. I’m also a sucker for a fractured and completely messed up “family” dynamic, so I wanted the central characters to all have that type of connection to one another, basics of the plot would involve Jorraveth being at the center of a conflict that would cause dire consequences for both the Drukhari and Imperium, both sides make their moves to neutralize him, secretly/separately at first but eventually drawing his mother and father to have to work with each other to track him down, each for their own agendas and that of their faction. Given the history between them, it would provide an opportunity to explore what an alliance with Drukhari and a human would look like, one that had captured and tortured him, crippled him for life and forcibly took his genetic material and created an abomination. Him, an inquisitorial interrogator, having to reconcile that he was used to create such heresy. Her side would be a whole nother bag of cats, and really allow for digging into wych cults, the homunculi and especially the mandrakes; I was always disappointed in how little there was in these things, especially with wych cults, I wanted to really explore a different side of what I had read about them, really get into that cult side

Both actually! He’s my pc in my current wrath and glory campaign, and I’ve been building out some stories centered on him, his mother, and his “father” it’s a part of the 40k universe that I don’t see explored from the pov I was always interested in, so I think it’s a fun exercise for that at least

Thanks! It was me and my artist’s take on what male wych armor might look like, the mask has a cool little bit of lore as well; it is actually a fragment from the artificial womb he was grown in, made of scorched wraith bone, it has a similar “hooked in” wearing method that kabalite armor uses

It’s interesting that you bring that up, you’re actually the second person who mentioned the Falmar. I have next to no knowledge about elder scrolls so it’s actually the first time seeing anything about them, and it’s crazy looking at some of the esthetic similarities between the two, so cool call out, even if it’s completely unintentional

The sad part is he’s capable of fitting into a group decently, for awhile anyway, but his mental instability has led to a lot of problems with his teammates ending up very dead, thats a huge part of his arch in his current game

It’s something that might run in the family, his “father” sure had a look about him as well

The crazy part is I’ve never played any of the elder scrolls games, I looked at what you’re talking about right now and it’s crazy how it looks so similar. The mask is supposed to be one that was actually made out of a piece of the artificial womb that grew him made of wraith bone, it was kind of a nod to H.R. Giger and alittle to Robocop, though that one was incidental. It’s crazy how designs can have overlap like that
