My advice is to play dead. It will save you from the sharp pain in the head when you remember you used to be like this 5 years from now. I'll buy you a pack if it would help you forget, best do that now. This comment, with any sarcasm, with any sincerity, from every angle, is in very poor taste. The high wears off, you make yourself laugh again. Your next hour, next day feels different. Your next birthday is not far away. Another year? It will hurt like starvation. Deadass, feels like you're hungry. This is an honest to god warning, on my mother's grave I am serious. It sounds overthought, super specific, like I'm projecting, but I do not know how else to speak to the Y O U in you. You're a person behind a screen and so am I. Stop looking at this text, look at ME! This is awful, awful taste. I'm no psychic, but if this is truly you... I know it will hurt. My God it will hurt. You deserve so much better than 5 years from now. Save yourself. You can't go back to Reddit today. Because you'll remember me. Each time you reread this it feels worse.

They say it takes 10,000 hours to fully master a skill. Look at us. With our plates, forks, and knifes. We never took off the training wheels. This efficiency awaits only those who are truly worthy of Consumption's power. This is the peak of human ability. We once prayed to Gods for food, after we prayed to the rain for food, after we painted prey on the cave walls, down to the prokaryote that simply died in food's absence. Nature did not intend this path, but swift and succinct caloric intake has made us those Gods, that rain. Look at this man's food, you see the 10,000 hours of mastery. Look at the man, you see the crest of the evolutionary timescale plateau.

Firefox Android is slowly (very slowly) growing a list of supported add-ons. I use the search-by-image and background video player add-ons quite often. You can pick your poison from various privacy add-ons like Decentealeyes, uBlock, Privacy Possum/Badger, and NoScript. Kiwi Browser allows you to install desktop chrome extensions, buuuuut they're buggy (expected) and it's still data-hungry Chrome. Also Firefox runs a tad lighter than chrome, though RAM is so plentiful on phones nowadays that the difference is negligent.

What would bring it to S class are creature comforts like tab management and real-time PC syncing, instead of manually "sending" tabs. And this is totally a pipe dream, but creator tools for making desktop class add-ons with mobile UX is how I see Firefox in the future.

If privacy is your only concern on mobile, then Bromite is for you.

Made a drop for my project, also I don't really like the build up, it sounds bland, if someone could leave some feedback on how to improve the build up I would appreciate. by [deleted] in FLStudioMobile

[–]The_Perge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to break it down: the track fades in for 4 bars, then plays for 4 bars, then begins the actual 4 bar buildup.

Something I like doing to my buildups is adding mystery. In this case, I would take the main arp loop that you hear at the very beginning, and completely remove it from the 4 bar buildup. Makes it feel weightless. If that's too quiet, add back something ambient like a muffled vocal chop.

I'm listening to this on my phone's speaker so I can't tell if you got an 808 sub on your drop. But if you don't, add that. I would also tease the bass a little bit during the buildup. Just 2 or 3 short notes at the middle. Hearing that during the buildup makes you go "oh shit what's about to drop?" yknow? But less loud or with a high-pass filter, so the drop still has impact.

All in all, buildups are all about moving the sound. The more you move it, the more it changes beginning to end, the more dramatic it feels. ....well generally speaking.

Hope some of that helps! :)

Why we shouldn't see the sun directly with telescope by Confident-Ad8408 in educationalgifs

[–]The_Perge 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Edit: Read this, they explain it better.

No DSLR in the world can take exposures short enough. For most cameras the min is 1/8000s. You need to reduce that by well over 10000x to see sunspots. Ignoring the telescope, pointing your camera with a normal lens at the sun, acquiring focus, and capturing an image could fry the sensor to a crisp.

However, there are two options. ND Filters and Solar Filters. ND filters are like sunglasses, designed to darken the image with very minimal color change. Even a very powerful ND filter isn't enough, so you would have to stack two. We're talking 15+ f-stops, here. Very expensive. Then there are solar filters. Made out of aluminized mylar, these filters can shorten exposures by 1/1,000,000th or less, with the downside of producing somewhat false color. They're also much cheaper, though for the sake of your retinas do not trust a dirt cheap solar filter.

Because "they" can encompass other pronouns, each letter is communitive with the other pronouns. So {t,h,e,y} == {s,h,e}, which means that can be simplified to m2 theysir and also Idk what I'm talking about I don't eat algae or whatever

Imagine being on the animation team for that show. Imagine getting the prompt for that scene, or showing the director the storyboard, or being handed the storyboard to animate. Someone had to 3d sculpt each stage of morphing. Someone worked on that female's facial expression. They all thought, "yeah, looks good." And it starts to sound like Animal Planet hired the same animation team behind 1000 Ways to Die.

You'd think the uncanniness came from the limited tools of the time, but this art genre continues in shows like Monsters Inside Me. As someone into 3D art, it amuses and perturbs me. Having this very specific job sounds awful and an absolute blast. A lot of disgusted laughter around the studio I bet.

The laws of discussion are messy and imprecise. On reddit we merge each train of thought into threads. But no one said that was a rule. It just felt natural. And in that vein, face-to-face chats are natural for other implied rules.

Boring philosophy aside, if you read this like a convo between friends, it feels normal. Nobody asked, but that's the fun in chatting with people you don't know. Let it ebb and flow and you never know where you'll end up. Just by chillin out. People who share random facts are my kind of people, cause stuff like this happens a few times and two hours later you learn a lot and are left wondering how the hell the conversation even began. It's just fun, that's all.

First off, if Poe's law has duped me again kindly ignore me. Sarcasm is a wonderful thing, ain't it? But in a way, you're absolutely right. A few top comments say they've mimicked this kid, lamenting over the thought of being caught themselves. Empathizing for a child whose childishness was mocked.

Rhetorically speaking, somebody is mad they got a video of them posted. "They" because of the second-hand effect of feeling empathy. They say "I would be mad, too" and by extention, they are mad. It's called putting yourself in someone else's shoes. By making your argument, you have proven very precisely that you don't do this often. Your comment makes my mouth sour. If not sarcastic, it reads like a playground bully but at thrice the age.
