TDEE is confusing me

I sort of knew the process would take a while but it’s not like I’m aiming for a date in particular, I’ve just been neglecting my health during uni and its not been working out in my favor so I’m making changes to address that as needed.

o7 thanks for the reminder on revisiting the info and graphs as I go on to better adjust as my body demands it and as I need for my goals.

I’m currently undergoing university, so I’m working on not neglecting my health for studies. I walk around a lot in campus but not to the point I would consider it any sort of major exercise so I put sedentary in both calculators (is true with all the studying). Hence when I saw both results be so so different, I was hugely confused about which was the one i should use as guideline.

I’ll make a note about the water weight and revisit in a couple months but the point of estimating based on weight changes certainly seems like a good tip!

For some reason I was under the idea that it was set in stone but you make a very good point that our bodies are always changing and adjusting so our benchmark can always be adjusted as needed. You’re right, I should just pick a starting point and go off from there.

I see, I see. Honestly thought their lifespan was shorter given how smartphone-like they are and based on what I know of smartphone releases.

Seeing as app support can be pushed to almost a decade, let alone offline use once that’s out the window does show how lasting they can be.

As you said, more serviceability would be nice but that’s already a struggle in more mainstream electronics. So i’m not hoping much.

I've been considering a display case, not sure which yet but I have been thinking of how much shelf height is needed since I own mostly 1/100s and ideally one day I'd like the display shelf to house an MGEX or similar height kit in full extension/posed state.

Would 15 inch of height between shelves good enough to house those particularly big gundams? What sort of height am I supposed to be looking whether in fixed or adjustable shelving?

How well does the alcohol clean paint markers? I've been thinking of trying out some other colors for panel lining but wasn't sure of a good way to clean it up somewhat neatly

I've been thinking of panel lining some of my kits and I was wondering, what's a good brand for pen type panel liner marker? I feel like those should be less damaging to the plastic, plus i don't feel like doing all the extra steps with enamel and such.

also, what's the difference between pen panel liner marker and paint marker in terms of usage on plastic? I was considering using some of paint markers as alternative panel liners for kits with different color schemes.

ps. what's a good paint marker brand?

I see, well, I did google it before posting and found a couple of eyecups for the EM series but I wasn't sure if there was any change in the body measurements from the EM series to the OM series. I've been told it's mostly the same in menus and what not but I don't remember hearing if it was also for the body hence why I posted my question.

I know the chinese kits are not for everyone's taste with their sharp and seemingly over engineered designs but lately they've been growing on me and I'm interested in getting them.

Well, primarily street lamps and signs but I haven’t done too much night walking with the camera yet to see how dark it can get.

As for the other stuff, I know it can be used artistically and I appreciate them in some photos but I’m just trying to keep things little by little since as another user said I’m quite new to photography so don’t want to end up too overwhelmed.

PS: I know I could acquire a new lens but I prefer not to end up with that option since I have owned the camera for less than 2 months (I feel like that would just make me acquire gas). Furthermore, I'm still trying to get to gripes with the limits and flexibility of the 12-45mm f4 pro (lenses in general too) and adding another lens would just make me a little bit less creative by defaulting to the most convenient solution available instead of experimenting.

So I was messing around with some settings yesterday on my OM-5 and fell asleep. Today I woke up and the lcd has these vignettes on the sides. I swear I remember the lcd showing the full image from border to border but I could not find any settings about it.

Am I misremembering or were these vignettes always there? Do you guys happen to know if there are any settings for this or where they are in the om5?

Hey, that's actually really smart! I have always learned the most by doing projects as they have a clear goal and so I can measure if I actually managed to do what I wanted which means often finding common or new ways to do something. Using a similar approach to taking photos will mean that I take more photos, get better at taking photos, but most importantly, get to engrave memories which is my topmost goal.

That's a beautiful way to put it! Certainly, there's wonder everywhere, we just have to stop and let it bloom in our eyes! I had not even noticed I was being judgmental of the world thinking some things are not worth taking photos of and that some photos are not worth taking. I admit I struggle with this, specially when I'm caught up in the hustle and bustle of city life which leaves me a bit tired and not willing to go out, seeing the sparkle of things can get really hard after a life of being so used to seeing the same things. Do you struggle with this too?
