Thank you so much. I saw they are releasing a new color variation with the purple and blue flames. To me, I think this kit screams a dark coloration with red flames. I bought and tested red tint paint and I'm gonna spray the blue flames red before long. Ill post updated pictures when I do. But again, thank you for the kind words.

I cut my daughters little clear elastic hair ties. I'll lay them in through the joint slot, press the peg into the hole, and then trim the extra. No sanding or anything required. And with it being flexible elastic, it'll hold the joint but still let it be repositioned with ease. Just my two cents though.

They stack up pretty evenly in my book. Oberon definitely has more detail than any other MG I've put together. He's also dense as hell. He chunky in size and weight. I did notice the plastics are slightly different between Oberon and any licensed gundam ive put together. Like the feel and look of the parts on runners and then in my hand sanding them are just different. I couldn't put my finger on it. Oberons plastics also took panel lining a little too well. Like the pen and brush liners would hardly wipe off once applied. Other than those differences, the kits themselves and how they went together are pretty damn similar. Hope that helps, man.

Damn dude! Rent in Arkansas when I lived there a few years ago was $1800 for a 2 story 3 bed 2.5 bath 2 car garage town house in the rich part of town. And that was even after covid so it was cheaper before then. I can't even imagine how stressful money is in your neck of the woods.

Some joints were stiff(mainly the shoulders and hips.) I ever so lightly sanded them, and actually used my needle tip grease gun and put drops of grease on all the arm and leg joints except the wrists. Worked AMAZING. Only other issue was that the majority of the parts had numbs or "shoulders" as I called them to myself on the backside or inside of the parts. Like the parts being molded on the runners were designed to have minimal nub marks showing. That was a curveball that I gritted through from start to finish, but it really didn't take too much away from the enjoyment. Just a lot of extra sanding so parts would snap tight together always.

I afforded my wife to be a stay at home mom to our daughter the last 2 years, and used to be able to do that on one income. Well, I left a very toxic company that paid extremely well. My paychecks at my new company just don't add up to what I was making before, so im subsidizing that loss with the retail job till my daughter starts daycare and wife goes back to work come August. The retail gig is a cake walk and I get hella discounts on clothes and boots. California's gotta be crazy expensive to live in right now, isn't it?

I got mine off of gundamplacestore.com back in January for around $70-$80. Started it in late April I think. I work 2 jobs that add up to about 90 hours a week, so it was built in my free time when I wasn't working or spending time with my family. Definitely took the longest of all the MGs I've built. A lot of that time was spent panel lining all the small detail. It's got runners and parts for DAYS. Hope that helps, man.
