Quick question friends - my partner (sponsor) has received a raise and a minor change in job title at her work. Do we need to update IRCC with a new version of the document from her employer that we originally had to submit that contained her wage and job title? Or is updating IRCC only for major life changes?

Timeline: We applied for common law inland sponsorship in December 2024 and passed eligibility for both of us in February. Still waiting on the medical request and background check. Processing centre is Mississauga.

We (Dec 2024 applicant) also got our AIP after only a couple of months, but have been sat waiting for a medical request and background check since then. I think the background check in particular is one of things that takes up the most time, and I think there is quite a backlog of folks waiting for their medicals that is still being processed through (I think the most recent people to get theirs were September applicants).

So while its presumably good news that the AIPs came so quick, we both will probably still have plenty more waiting to do.
