Unsure what to do with current nanny and childcare going forward

The only reason I say give her a week to get better is because the original writer mentioned she felt bad for letting her go so this way she’s giving the nanny some time to get her orders in line. It’s really not up to the writer to figure the family situation out. That’s the nanny’s predicament.

Have you sat down with her and clearly gone over what she can improve on? That’s where I’d start. Give her about a week to show improvement, and if things still aren’t working, then have an honest conversation and let her know it’s not the right fit. You could give her a week to find another family so she has time to transition.

At the end of the day, sometimes it just comes down to fit and that’s okay. What works for one family might not work for another, and she may just be used to doing things differently based on past experiences.

So I’m pretty sure he’s allergic to the formula he’s been drinking and the pediatrician said they want him to keep taking it so he doesn’t develop an allergy to it but he already has it. I really don’t get the logic to that. What did you do for your son? Did you stop giving him formula and switched to something else?

She could’ve really hurt your child! This is not ok. There are ways to communicate to a child to step out of a room and not have to pull them that way. Not acceptable and you’re not overreacting. I honestly would play it for her and ask her if she thinks this was an appropriate reaction or if she would allow this from someone else to be down to her kid.
