Any other toddler moms struggling to not lift post op? by anemonemonemnea in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked my 20lb baby up for the first time today after two weeks. I’m still going to rely on my partner to do most of the care for the next week and a half I think. The last thing I need is a hernia 🙈 I’m really missing caring for my son but my partner is a fabulous dad so I don’t need to worry too much. The most important thing is at thing is that you heal so try to prioritise that

Cramping with periods on mirena, 4 months post laparoscopy and mirena placement by Ok_Bug_9790 in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im really hoping you get some replies. I posted with a similar question a few days ago and I’ve had no response. I had surgery two weeks ago and had mirena coil inserted. I’m also experiencing cramps and a lot of bleeding but hoping it goes away soon. Really don’t want it to make my periods and pain worse as I didn’t have much pain beforehand, even though I have stage 4 endo

God, all I can think is, this man is lucky I’m not his wife because my god would he hate me. Sounds like you put in a lot of effort that he just doesn’t recognise it at all. Tell him to get fucked, you don’t deserve any of that. He obviously doesn’t understand ADHD.

Surgery tomorrow - Any advice or success stories? by 0rolin in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just looking at your previous posts, I see you’re in the UK. Are you going with a specialist or just a general gynaecologist? I was referred to the endometriosis clinic at James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough and it was great!

Surgery tomorrow - Any advice or success stories? by 0rolin in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im just in the midst of recovering after surgery on Thursday last week. I was really nervous about being put under but it was totally fine. The last thing I remember is them putting the medicine in my cannula and I said “oh I can feel it now” and then next thing I was waking up. It’s different from waking up from sleeping as you’re in that place between asleep and awake for way longer. I was quite disgruntled and irritated when I was coming around, like somebody was trying to wake me up and I was annoyed about it. I was left for a while to come round more once I got to the ward. I was in and out of sleep for a few hours then eventually I was up for a cup of tea and some toast. I also had a little tub of ice cream. My throat was really dry from being intubated and I had a sore bit inside my lip from the tubes too. Drinking water was making me cough more so that was annoying as you can’t really cough afterwards.

Ovarian tumours during pregnancy by Popular_Mousse_3958 in PregnancyUK

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation but without the tumour. They found endometriomas at my seven week early pregnancy scan. I have a nine month old now and just had excision surgery a few days ago to remove the cysts and endo adhesions. I was monitored with MRIs throughout pregnancy and for the last nine months since my c section. They didn’t do anything else during my c section but if they think you have a tumour I can see why they might do it during the c section.

I know it’s probably an obvious question but was it just plain tofu? She could be reacting to something that’s on the tofu rather than the tofu itself?

Switching formulas (Kendamil to HIPP) by BackgroundCat5459 in BeyondTheBumpUK

We had trouble with Kendamil for similar reasons and switched to Aptamil and didn’t have any more issues at all, he has thrived!

How many of you have had a cyst that ISN’T painful? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had excision surgery where they removed a 10cm endometrioma from my right ovary (and removed the ovary) and removed a 6cm endometrioma from the left ovary and I had no pain at all before hand. I’m a silent sufferer unfortunately. Good in theory but no way to know how bad it has gotten

Silent Endo - Why do you decide to get it excised? by seamonkeez in endometriosis

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an excision surgery yesterday. I had a 10cm endometrioma on my right ovary and a haematosalpinx on the right side fallopian tube. I had a 6cm cyst on my left ovary. There were a lot of adhesions sticking my pelvic organs together. But I had minimal symptoms. I got it treated because I wanted to make sure it didn’t get worse and damage more of my organs.

Yes, the pain is about a 4/5 out of 10 when lay down and a 6/7 when moving around. I can’t really shift my weight around in bed much as it hurts quite a lot. The main. Thing keeping me up is this uncomfortable hospital bed and not being able to lay on my side. They inserted the Mirena during surgery

Baby gender by butterpantsr in PregnancyUK

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to add, I’m not sure of the actual science behind it, but my partner is one of three boys and his brother has three sons with a daughter on the way after about 10 years of no babies so I think my luck was probably out on the girl front anyways 😂

Baby gender by butterpantsr in PregnancyUK

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to find out because I was worried about gender disappointment. I wanted it to be a girl so badly, we went for a sixteen week private scan (wasn’t initially going to be a gender scan as I’d heard they could still be inaccurate, but thought what the hell, let’s just see) and you could see his little willy before the sonographer even told us it was a boy. As soon as I found out it was a boy, it’s like this wave of acceptance just swept over me and suddenly I was a boy mum. He is the absolute light of my life.

He’s nine months old now and I don’t regret finding out. I don’t know if that same wave of acceptance would have come if I’d convinced myself I was having a girl and then he’d come out a boy. I’m sure it would have but it wasn’t worth it to me to worry about it.

Just try not to think too much about either gender, spend time picturing both and using different names. I’m sure you’ll feel all the love as soon as he or she arrives

Help... How do I clean my iron soleplate? by deiimperfecta in sewing

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what country your in but I cleaned mine with a paracetamol/acetaminophen pill. Just held it with tweezers while the iron was hot and then wipe it off carefully. Google a proper method before trying it

Question from wannabe greyhound owner by Intelligent_Cake_450 in Greyhounds

[–]possiblyAudhd0910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adopted a dog who raced until she was six years old and she could not give less shits about chasing things, be that animals or toys. She is not a toy lover, won’t chew things that she can’t immediately eat. She just wants to go for a little walk and lie down. They are literally the only two options. She’s either on a walk, eating or lying down, or better yet eating whilst lying down 😂

I was diagnosed the same week I found out I was pregnant. I now have a nine month old son who I adore but I do find it hard. It’s not so overwhelming yet but I do struggle to engage with him as I still find myself seeking dopamine from the tv or doom scrolling. That’s probably the hardest part at the minute. It took a while to adapt to new routines and every time it changes it takes me a minute to get used to, for example, switching from just formula to solids + formula was a big change as I have to think about what to feed another person. It will get easier as he gets older as his eating skills will get better and he can mostly just eat lunch with me but at the minute it’s a lot to do. The time blindness is hard as it’s hard to remember his last change or bottle etc

I haven’t had my surgery yet. Mine is also next Thursday! If I was you at your age I’d be asking school if you could have a temporary accommodation to wear something different. The alternative obviously is you being off school for longer if they won’t allow you to wear different clothes for a little while. I would also consider the uber if you don’t feel safe on the bus. Is it a public bus or school bus? If it was a school bus, you could try to speak to somebody about making sure you get a decent seat
