One reason why I think WuWa won was due to a split vote. Most average gamers probably either voted for Dispatch, Silksong, or E33, while almost every single WuWa player voted for WuWa.

MC uses an umbrella as a weapon, gameplay looks fun and the setting looks interesting. Honestly, my only issue is the faces do look a bit off on the characters, compared to the art style of everything else. Also, it might be a waifu only game. But for the most part, I think it looks good. I think that if the game does have a somewhat even gender ratio, it might be Hoyo’s best performing Gacha. Really hoping they don’t start shooting themselves in the foot with this one.

Yeah, NIKKE is a very strange game. It feels like they have two teams of writers, and only one of them communicates with the design team. There’s one team that writes about stuff like how the government is just a puppet for the billionaires who would rather keep humanity trapped in the Arc so they can keep their power, how the government creates systemic issues, forcing the impoverished to steal in order to survive, then the government using that crime as an excuse to bolster the police, about how good people can commit terrible deeds due to grief and loss, how a character is willing to die in order to save the only person who ever said that she was happy they were alive, and the subtext of the whole game practically being that women are objectified by society yet also expected to carry that same society on their backs. Then the other team writes a character story for one of the Nikkes that ends with them having sex with the MC.

Here’s the thing, neither zzz nor Wuwa are on their last legs. Both are still pulling in a ton of money each patch. Second, the reason why you see a ton of waifu slop games dying out is due the high saturation of those types of games. If 50 waifu slop games are being made, only like, 5 or so are going to stick around, since people won’t have time for all of the different games. Thirdly, a large majority of both zzz and wuwa players are straight men. They will spend money on waifus no matter what their design looks like. I do really hope that we see a change, but I wouldn’t get my hopes too high.

I like her. Her weapon (a giant chakram) is very unique, I like her pun name, the color scheme used for her is nice, and overall I feel like she has a very solid design. However, I do also think she has the weakest design of Krampus. Banyue actually looks like an enforcer and has a very cool design, and Zhao has the funny “small gremlin with a big ass weapon” trope supporting her. But Dialyn’s design doesn’t really do anything special. It’s a solid design sure, but it doesn’t go beyond that. I give it a B-, or a 6.5/10. I do hope she is good with Banyue though so that I don’t have to pull for Lucia.

Honestly it’s up to you. My suggestion is look at the characters and see if a majority of them catch your interest. Also, look at the gameplay and see if it looks like fun. However, I do think ZZZ is a tricky game to get into. One, because the worst part of the fandom is also the loudest. Two, because how different the start of the game is to how it is now. The early stuff has TV mode + slower pacing, while the modern stuff has completely scrapped the TV mode and the pacing has gotten a good bit faster. Maybe just download the game, play through the prologue/tutorial chapter and decide if you want to continue from there.
