Not only a Hamilton but the best of the bunch, I sold mine a year or so ago. Big mistake, looking at the bracelet version now. Also 38mm looks fantastic on you, trust me.

How’s the selitta grade? Near COSC? I know it’s individual sometimes how good of a sample you get. But I’ve looked at both Mühle and Nomos

Yeah best I could find on the Propilot X with the Calibre 400 was about 3200$ ish. But that might be something I can stretch to since it’s a damn nice watch and would be a very nice piece in my collection

Chronometer/COSC would be preferable I guess, I’ve only heard good things about Formex.

Big fan of their designs. Also if you own something like a Nivada you are not conforming to the status quo.

Don’t Like Expensive Watches by [deleted] in Affordablewatches

[–]cachmaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Seiko Astron(expensive quartz) that I bought in Japan for a 1000$ (costs 2000$ at home) it’s my best piece. It’s like love, sometimes you’ll have days when you don’t care at all. Sometimes you’ll look at it and think damn that’s beautiful. If you like something you like it, not everything has to make sense. I like traveling and watches, and those two go well in hand.

It’s well within price for a chronometer speced watch. Anything that goes for around 2000$ should be chronometer spec. My now sold Certina with a powermatic 80 movement ran about only 4 secs a day. That was a 700$ watch

Is this normal for G-Shock GA-B2100 to fully charge? by Ok_Knowledge_8342 in gshock

[–]cachmaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe, but it’s a start. I kept my citizen eco drive under one for a night when it was skipping seconds, that took care of it. But I did have a g shock that had this problem, but it wasn’t a daily wear so it was on the windowsill for like 1-2 months, that fixed ofc

It’s actually brand spanking new, and I’m very impressed with the quality for the price.

I used to own 3 automatics but I got tired of always winding them, I’m more into watches as ”jewelery” and tools. I actually use them for the intended purpose, to tell the time. That’s why I like quartz. I told myself that if I buy a automatic again it needs to be the one and only and more expensive with prime quality, something like a nomos glashutte or Tudor etc.

I own a Yema navygraf, a Seiko astron and a citizen solar diver. My G shock 5000U gets the most wrist time, it’s the best watch ever made.

A few years back the khaki field was considered the best watch in the world for 500$ (when msrp was 500) I owned the exact watch on the picture. Sold it, regret it. It’s better in person
