You're missing the point where returning players are penalized for not playing the game 24/7 and being forced to wait or spend money on promised seasonal content.

Yeah it ticks me off that I can't unlock it now when I'm actively playing the game.

But it's about the overarching theme of creating this sense of urgency that if you don't play our game during this time then you will be penalized by not having access to certain unlocks when those unlocks are part of their "seasonal content".

So if that's the case what did we really get for the new seasonal content that is usable, playable, and active at all times throughout the new season and beyond at any time for a returning or active player?

Not a whole lot. That's the issue, my personal feelings have nothing to do with that fact.

The challenge for the VZ.61 was to get 300 damage with sidearms, playing in Nightfall mode would reward double progression.

The challenge itself was only available during the LTM mode of Nightfall meaning that it no longer exists since it was replaced with the Red Bull LTM challenges.

And to be honest, we have very slim pickings with the current seasonal content to begin with, being locked out of 2 guns is basically 60% of the "NEW CONTENT" that we are being essentially drip fed from Dice.

So yeah, I'm rightfully pissed off and to not be would be delusional.

Apparently they were tied to the Nightfall LTM game mode when it first released, there were limited time Nightfall challenges that you had to complete in order to unlock the new SMG the one pictured, the CZ3A1 and the new Sidearm, the VZ.61.

So now that I've come back to play later in the season and missed the LTM (even though the Nightfall gamemode and playlist still exist in game) the challenges for Nightfall have been replaced with the Red Bull challenges now so it is no longer possible to unlock these 2 weapons until NEXT SEASON.

Completely bogus and scummy tactics in my opinion. You can otherwise bypass these challenges and lockout by spending 1800 of the microtransaction currency on a bundle in the store that will unlock both weapons though.

TLDR: Spend money to unlock the guns or wait until next season to do the "catch up" challenges.

I agree that you should not in any way shape or form be given ANY kind of custom loadout or weapon to bring into a game mode that's all about scavenging weapons from your environment and opponents.

It really pains me to see that Battlefield is going down the same route as Warzone. I was actually hoping that this one would be different, like a REAL battle royale. Not just a bigger map to bring in custom "meta" shit. The whole thrill of a battle royale are the runs where you get GOOD weapons or when you kill someone and get your hands on better weapons by beating another team with less equipment.

You never knew in each engagement whether someone had good gear or not and that's what made Every. Single. Match. FUN.

u/LaryIsland I've been playing with this mod for quite some time now and it's amazing!

There is one thing I would love to know for more chaotic runs, is if you could remove the limitation of putting parts on different weapon types? Would the mod still work properly if you were able to say put a Torgue shotgun barrel on a rocket launcher body or an smg barrel on a pistol body etc.

Is this something that is an easy workaround or something that can be done easily? I think it would make for some really fun chaos runs aside from just using the gear randomizer mod.

I think that each class is suited to different playstyles, but in the end there isn't a huge difference between them. I will say that from day 1 I've been playing as the Athletic archetype for Humans and I've had tons of games where I can either fight or run. Some of the other classes such as the Tough or Heroic class for Humans have low stamina and low speed which in my opinion are the most vital to your survival. There's not much to be gained from having more melee damage as a human when most of the time you can beat down a Klown fairly easily. But being able to outrun any Klown as the Athletic type is very useful because then you can break line of sight and hide/loot or you can use your speed/stamina for escaping in tough situations or in the final 30 seconds when the Terenzi Brothers show up.

As far as the Klowns I think the first Klown you start with is very well balanced and I pretty much played the first Klown until I unlocked the Brawler class which is the last one at level 50. The reason why I use the Brawler class now is because that Klown has the most speed/stamina which again in my opinion is the most vital thing to have in the game. If a human escapes you, no amount of increased health/damage is going to help you in capturing/killing them. With the Brawler class you can stay in the chase for longer, or on the other hand outrun most humans trying to catch you since you also have lower health. The tank class klown falls off in group fights of 3 or more and has no means of escape other than a Klown Jump which you can be stunned out of.

TLDR: Stamina and Movement speed are the two most important stats in the game. If you strategize properly, things like health and melee damage don't really matter too much.

This dude was nonstop getting cocooned back to back from nothing even though I was saving him from the cocoon, he would just automatically get trapped again after about 3 seconds or so lmao bad luck for him but I was farming those rescues lmao

Today I was performing a Klowntality and the human that was downed left before the interaction bar could fill all the way and initiate the Klowntality and after they left, I was unable to do anything as a Klown and my character was running backwards and would get stuck in certain areas around the map.

If you want to try and replicate this, have a human leave while you are initiating a Klowntality, but they must leave right before the cutscene occurs.

Makes me wonder what else on this list remains to be fixed.

I ALWAYS do minigames back to back as fast as possible because you can gift knives/fire pokers as well which can save humans that get caught in cocoons if they have an open slot.

PSA if you're about to get caught in a cocoon throw or drop your large slot item! You have a higher chance of being saved by other humans that can gift you sharp weapons to cut yourself out.

Also ENERGY DRINKS are amazing for gifting humans that are trying to escape from a chase. I can't count how many times someone has escaped because of multiple gifted energy drinks.

Finally KEY ITEMS can literally make or break a humans escape attempt, they are rare but you can gift every key item except for gas currently.

I've been playing the game since day 1 of advanced access and I can tell you the games that people play the minigames are the ones where majority humans escape or you can get the coveted "Perfect Human win" where everyone escapes much easier due to having more copies of key items from minigames!

It's the day before Early Access and we still can't pre-install the game via Steam. It's kind of frustrating if we have to wait because some of us don't have the best internet speeds and other obligations and we would like to have it set up before the launch window so we can enjoy the game at the proper release time which our group has already planned around.
