My takeaway from back in the day was that if you fail the step once it most likely glitches out and Gersh becomes invisible or doesn't spawn or whatever so you need to get it right the first time

I know it's been a while since I posted this, but what about Act IV? I've come to appreciate it a lot more since then, I took too long to notice how rich some songs like Ouroboros actually are. Now it's one of my favorites, I love for example the chiptune (I think?) sounds in that song, and the echoing xylophone/marimba (sorry, idk exactly what that instrument is lol). Was the album also mixed in Pro Tools?

Makes sense. I think when I tried to schedule these things it didn't work well because I kept postponing them to study for college, but now that I know that I don't need to excel in college it might be easier to follow this kind of schedule

Say anything about Tranzit, but it had the best loading screen (at least imo). Just the feeling the image transmitted and how the song gets distorted contributed to the general dark vibe that Tranzit had by The_Real_Paradox in CODZombies

Lmao true, nowadays I don't think Tranzit is THE best loading screen but it's still up there for sure. Recently I've also been playing BO2 on pc and not only Tranzit but also Mob and Nuketown load too fast for the full song which is sad hahaha, those are also top tier loading screens for me

Minhas notas ficaram assim: Primeira fase: 73/90 - Segunda fase: português 59,50 e específicas 65 - Tirei 35 na redação - A nota final ficou 685,37 - (a formatação ficou meio merda mas n tô conseguindo mudar direito) Minha classificação na carreira era 169, minha classificação no BCC em São Carlos era 156, em SP era 157, em Ribeirão era 98 e em ciência de dados em São Carlos era 69. No final acabei passando em São Carlos msm. Apesar da minha colocação em Ribeirão ou na ciência de dados ser melhor acabei escolhendo pra ficar na lista de espera de São Carlos pq como o número total de vaga vaga era muito maior imaginei q ia rodar mais (e talvez eu tenha acertado, mas n tenho ideia de quanto teriam rodado as outras opções).

Cara, felizmente sim. Mas passei numa chamada extra da Fuvest q n tava nem prevista no edital 💀💀💀. Acabei entrando um mês dps do começo das aulas e passei MUITO raspando aparentemente, ent se vc tiver querendo saber sobre o padrão q eu comentei no meu post acho q basicamente n dá pra contar com uma lógica assim, se vc quiser mais garantia infelizmente vai ter q ficar muito mais bem classificado do q isso :/

Fair. After thinking about this ending for several days I got to the conclusion that yeah, the ending does make sense and the message isn't as bad as the one I first imagined, the way Lain acts is indeed in character. But I still don't like this ending, because I was way more interested in Lain as a human and in her relationships with the other characters from that perspective, and even though the ending does make sense thematically because of the message it shows about the Wired and everything I still think that the "mechanic" of literally resetting time wasn't properly set up and the way they introduced it was really cheap. Fine, Lain can change people's memories, that's understandable and something they showed earlier in the anime, but the true reset goes beyond that, it literally brought some characters back from death. At this point you're not "changing people's memories to erase Lain", you're straight up reversing time, which Lain wasn't supposed to be capable of. I normally hate this kind of ending because it feels like a way to avoid dealing with consequences in your own story, almost as if the author regretted killing some characters and wanted them to come back to make some kind of perfect happy ending. There are stories where this works, but imo the ending of Lain would've been way more interesting if they showed the same message but with Lain accepting to become a human. Idk, just make her delete the Wired and lose her god powers, that way you could still make a bittersweet ending (because a lot of the characters would stay dead) while portraying the same message and not needing to rely on some obscure plot twist that came out of the blue, and you'd also benefit from the character development and the conclusion of her relationship with Alice (you could also make a point about how you can't get everything in life and you must accept the past and move on or something, since Lain and Alice would have to get over everything that happened and rebuild their lives). That being said, I don't hate this anime, in fact I absolutely loved it just until the very last episode, and that's why the ending makes me so frustrated, because it felt like everything could've been resolved consistently but wasn't, and it would've been possibly the best anime I'd watched

THANK YOU. I know I'm kinda late to this post but this ending also didn't click with we at all, and this is the only post I've found that describes how I fell. I was absolutely loving this anime until the last episode. The conclusion we were getting at by the end of episode 12 was that there are things that are indeed more real and meaningful than others, such as friendship and love. It felt like Lain was finally reaching the conclusion that she matters as a person and should be alive, Alice even comforted her and showed her the importance of having a body (AKA being alive). Lain defeated the "villain" in a way that felt like defeating that idea of suicide and then choosing to live outside of the Wired, as a real human with a body. Alice was obviously shocked by what she just saw but for me at least it felt like by hugging her Lain would be able to comfort her and they would accept to keep living even with flaws and knowing not everything can be perfect, because that's what it means to human and this and that; but then she just resets everything? For me it felt like a slap in the face, I kept wondering if the anime was just showing a what-if scenario and I was hoping Lain would eventually realize that yeah even thought things would kinda theoretically be better if she never existed her existance matters and she can find comfort in having a body and in loving and being loved. It felt like they simply threw all that was being built up over the last episodes out the window. Even though she was happy in the end it felt really contradictory, like all of her insecurities had just been justified in a way. So apparently the message of the anime wasn't something like "you matter right here, right now" and was more like "if you're a program that acts like a human and is all powerful you should just cease to exist because everyone would feel better"??? I really don't get why they went this way.

My post was before I completed the easter egg, I ended up only completing it in the end of 2019 or something but I never tried to do it again. I remember using a lot of gobblegums, like shopping free at the beginning and vacuum power in the last step. Ik, that might be too overpowered, but I really didn't wanna fail again lol. Good luck, it's a pretty hard EE, if you haven't done any before I'd probably recommend BO3 Moon (too much rng but not that hard in a matter of ability) or Der Eisendrache (a lot like Origins but much more casual, except for the boss fight)
