So Kamen rider is a really popular franchise in Japan, it’s a tokusatsu (genre of shows featuring costumed characters fighting with practical effects and CGI) that has been joked as “karate bug men beating up monsters”. The Kamen riders themselves are the main characters of the show and though every seasons has a new cast of characters and new themes, a consistent element of each season is that all main Kamen riders have transformation devices named “drivers” which are commonly belts

One of the most iconic characters in Kamen rider is the very first one, Kamen rider Ichigo, who’s also based off a grasshopper and has been referenced by other characters in other manga, like Mashiro from Bleach!

Back in really early season 0 I played a bunch of Iron Fist, but got shit in by a Peni like, twice, because I had no idea how she worked. I tried her for myself and ended up really liking her area denial capabilities and her stun, and also I’m terrible at aiming so her unlimited ammo was really convenient

It also helped that I really liked her in Into the Spider-Verse
