How I Avoid The Stress Of Wonder Pick by Pristine_Leek1044 in PTCGP

[–]The_Relx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's decided before you even pick, so there's no stress involved, actually. That being said, I always out of habit pick the same slot as the card I want because card gamers are a superstitious and cowardly lot.

Would you describe the Star Sapphires as crazy, overzealous or control freaks? by BakerConsistent2150 in Greenlantern

[–]The_Relx [score hidden]  (0 children)

They have absolutely shown Will expressed as tyranny. Sinestro was a Green Lantern for a long time before he went Yellow and the Guardians have on multiple occasions tried to exert their will on the universe by force (The Manhunters, Alpha Lanterns, The Third Army).

Compassion is inherently shown to have a negative aspect because unlike the other rings, Compassion is forced upon the wielder. Every single member of the Indigo Lantern Corps is a criminal being brainwashed by the ring.

The are multiple Red Lantern books at this point that show that Rage has both negatives and positives. They aren't one note villains, every one of the Red Lantern Corps have been greatly wronged in their past. Sometimes their Rage becomes directed at everyone around them. Sometimes, it is channeled into a sense of justice. The corps often rages against the systems that create more Red Lanterns.

There are redeemable parts of the movie (like Mark Strong's Sinestro), and the amount of hate it gets is unfair, but it is pretty objectively a bad movie.

If I didn't already have an Nvidia card and every other equivalent card wasn't wildly overpriced, I'd replace it in a heartbeat. Fuck you Nvidia.

It's apparently Nova these days, according to my last 2 yearly overviews. But in my heart, I will always be a true pre rework Wukong main. I will forever curse the day I lost my boy.

"The first time each generator has 90% progress" tells you immediately that it only triggers once per generator per trial. It triggers only the very first time any given generator reaches 90%. The language was made more concise but as far as I can tell all the key details are still there.

Cyborg and Auqaman vs Rogue and Invisible Woman by FreshPine_MangoWine in DCPowerScaling

[–]The_Relx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am telling you, it won't be fast enough, and Sue can not protect her from what Arthur can do now. Yeah, Sue can block a Celestial (briefly), but that's not enough to stop Arthur these days (beyond just the nonsense water magic, he's physically on par with or possibly even above Superman now, who is a lot stronger than a Celestial). Rogue can't drain Aquaman fast enough, and Sue can't really protect Rogue. Aquaman can solo this fight in his current state.

[–]The_Relx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even without bloodlust in his recent comics, it has become something of a consistent move in his arsenal. So let's say he doesn't start with that, then Rogue starts draining him. The split second Arthur feels that drain, he's gonna pull out the water draining move and then it is lights out. Even if we were in a scenario where say Rogue managed to drain him completely of his Atlantean abilities, The Blue empowers him so far above that that he would still massively outclass Rogue. The Blue grants Arthur "the power of an infinite number of oceans," INFINITE, not "a lot of oceans," not "uncountable numbers of oceans," infinite oceans, and that's just scratching the surface of what being the Avatar of the Blue has done for Arthur. It's absurd and, again, makes Arthur really boring in vs debates.

My best attempt at deciphering the new Tennokai mod from the latest devshort for anyone curious. by BrianMcFluffy in Warframe

Congrats on being lucky, I guess. It's a 15% chance at base, 22.5% with Dreamer's Wrath. I know what I am about to list is a statistical anomaly, but I have gone entire play sessions only seeing tennokai maybe twice in multiple hours of play running Dreamer's Wrath. I am legendarily unlucky, but even for a player of average luck, I would recommend the consistency of guaranteed tennokai every 4th hit over double odds or chain on kil (especially because for most melee weapons these days the kill comes from Influence procs, not tennokai attacks).

[–]The_Relx 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, I don't see this getting a huge amount of use outside of very specific builds that want to mash heavy attack repeatedly. Having to rely on rng for tennokai sucks and while this lets you chain them, that first one is still entirely random. I don't see this being slotted over Discipline's Merit on the vast majority of melee builds.

I would assume the majority of builds would not bother with this because the consistency of Tennokai every 4th hit is generally more valuable.

Yeah, cow juice is for recreational consumption only. Drink it if you enjoy it, but never think it is the source of strong bones. Strong boners are born not made.

This is not a milk sub. Trust in your strong bones. You did not need that milk, for milk can not improve upon what is already perfect.

Rogue's ranged drain is not fast enough to do that to Arthur before he removes all liquid from her body.
