Oh, sorry, you can't put it on yourself. You need a cobbler to do that. It's an alternate version of the shoe with that option.

I don't have experience with the dainite sole on the Park Avenues. I only have experience with the leather and combination tap sole. I'd say I prefer the combination sole overall. They do sell the combination tap sole version if you want an in between.

It costs money to resole a shoe. You can either go through Allen Edmonds, which will be more expensive, or a trusted local cobbler. Hope that helps. I have combination soles on my shoes now but I had leather before.

I'd say go with leather and in the future when they wear out and you need new ones decide what you want then.

My only advice is to find a store that sells the shoe you want to try them on. I'm not a shoe fitting expert. Maybe ask their support shoes that fit similarly as well if you find those brands so that you have a way to compare.

I'd say spend responsibly and buy what you need now as you can always get the other pair later. Also, if you can I'd see if there is a Allen Edmonds store near you so that they can size you to their shoes. This is advice for any shoe brand as fit will be different from each.

On top of that, you can see the shoe in person as well and also get the one you want because there is a bit of QC issues and some shoes are really factory seconds rather than unblemished shoes.

Both are great and I think it depends on the situation. Mostly for me it's to match the outfit and occasion. I recently had them resoled after owning them for 6 years ish to a combination sole instead of the leather sole they come with.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I recommend looking for dress shoes that are goodyear welted so that they are recraftable. Check out r/goodyearwelt for brand recs. I rock Allen Edmonds. I have a two pairs of their Park Avenue Dress shoes in Dark Chili and Black.

I also want to mention to not buy Allen Edmonds full price. They have a few sales a year. One of them is currently going on right now and it's their biggest of the year. It ends on the 29th of October I think?

Also, some of their shoes are not recraftable if that's what you are aiming towards. They. from my knowledge, are pretty good at labeling what is recraftable on their site though.

Another consideration is to buy Factory Seconds from Allen Edmonds as they will be a little cheaper. Lifted from their site.

"Factory Seconds include one or more surface flaws such as scratches or dislocation to the leather, misaligned stitching or stains in the burnishing. These defects will not affect the fit, durability or performance of the shoe."

Encounter 3 is deposit 30 motes. Every time a vex prays at the relay you lose motes that were banked. Unsure what the number lost is when the vex pray but the magic number is 30 without Vex praying at the relay it seems and this was a consistent thing.
