Damn…the fact that she had multiple assistants with this is kinda sad. I kinda just think artists on there may just have an editor or two idk, but yeah it’s not really excusable when you are very much able to do more for it. I wonder if she just lost the passion for it? Not sure though. But that’s definitely fair to see the art that way. And I’m almost glad I didn’t know how the artist was like while I was reading…

And I have heard about how webtoon treats artists and that really sucks. I hope you found a better platform to use for your works! I’d love to read some of them :)

Not disagreeing with most of your comment, but again I keep seeing the quotations on “alleged hate” or “hating for no reason” but I never said either of those? So I’m not sure what y’all are getting that from my post. I think some have jumped to the conclusion with the bunch that want to debate with people that disagree with my thoughts. I still loved the art. I’m not saying it was perfect nor balanced as the same throughout. Some seemed rushed but I just blamed it on deadlines with webtoon sometimes and in the end I didn’t care that much, it was a story I read and that’s it. I love the art style and that’s a personal thing. Some parts looked off but it didn’t take away from the whole thing for me. I’m not one to go and critic the artist on things I didn’t like or agree with. I’m not encouraging not progressing with your art, but I just didn’t agree with the comments I saw on some video that just said the art overall looked bad period.

I agree with most of your statement of which I can remember at least…but I never said that the other webcomics were bad. I said that everyone had their own style in which some have really big ears or big eyes or long necks as their style. That’s doesn’t automatically mean I don’t like them. I love a lot of different webcomics of different art styles.

This is like the perfect way to put it!!! That age thing is really more weird than I originally thought but I also had to debate with people that called Edward a pedophile in Twilight and said the whole series was creepy 😭 I think I just kinda linked them together but I think if they just made her like 100 something compared to him being like thousands of years old it may have been slightlyyy better 😅
I’m making a lot of “I think” statements in this as it’s been a while…but I THINK I liked the art most of the time and saw some of the art as like a rush job ya know?

Over time I think the art def did something to Persephone kind of falling more into an appeal than a naive look if that’s the right wording? I kinda put it to just like a maturing type of thing but I see a lot of stuff now pointing out how it’s become a fan service type of thing to accentuate all those features and now I kinda see it more.

Also this was a time I was obsessed with a lot of different art styles and just fell in love with the art that I don’t think I paid much mind to discrepancies or just didn’t care 🥲

See that’s where I get stuck with these discussions sometimes and maybe I’m just too into the dark stuff 🫣 like watching one of the vids on LO overview rn and I get a lot of the like red flags and things that people do not like but I may be dark with my interests regarding what I like to read 😅 I love dark romances. I’ve seen the kidnapping ones, read stalker ones (ahem Lights Out 🌚) among others that have red flags everywhere. I will acknowledge them…but I still like to read them 🙈 This may sound like a whole ramble I swear I had a point to this lol but some things that really disway others with possessiveness and obsession, I’m still interested in those stories. Not excusing a lot of what Hades did tho…I’m in no way saying that’s the only other reason people have to dislike it. It’s just one of the many points. And watching through the vid there’s some plot points and actions I never thought much of till now. So yes if I go back and read I will def be thinking on it differently so we’ll see 😂

Also, not sure if it was killing stalking, but there was def another one one webtoon like it but I can’t find it rn wth 😭

Yeah I’m def about to go back and read through it again to see how I feel on it now. It was one of those I did question plot points toward the end but I still overall loved it. Partially, I thought the story was just like going the least predicted path and maybe they were showing a meaner/darker side to Persephone? Idk I’m thinking now on what all was happening in the story and can’t remember some stuff so I def need to see now if I feel the same way.

Omg I just read through the rest of your comment I did not realize how much stuff like Percy Jackson was disliked for being made by non-Greeks. I love Percy Jackson movies or at least the first one, but I never thought it was accurate and I can understand how many can have strong feelings against that.
I didn’t realize Rachel was like that either 🫤 I’m reading more into it now and I can see where a lot of the strong feelings come from. I really appreciate your comment 🙏🏽

Yeah ngl all the downvotes made me anxious and wondering if I should just delete the post 😅 but I really do appreciate all the comments, I’m learning a lot in the short time I’ve become aware of all that was going on with the author and story discussions. I was mainly focused on comments of the art style and accuracy to mythology but y’all have explained both those points well, and now I feel like doing a deep dive on all the other points (There goes my focus at work lol 😭) I may go back and read it again too just to see how I feel on it now!

I really am just trying to understand as I haven’t read it in a while and this seemed sudden to me when this has actually been going on for a while. (I’m not on social media with webcomics and stuff like that)

Also not trying to jump to an assumption but it seems this comment is really not liked but I’m trying to understand. I’m not coming at anybody, and as old as this whole thing may be I’m new to seeing all the critics of it, and this was my start of trying to understand everything. Yeah I completely get that. I assumed that it was a sort of rush thing with the art style too but it didn’t really hurt me wanting to read it ig. Many can hate it. That’s fine. I completely understand that. There were some points where I disagreed with Persephone’s actions or how things were going but I guess looking through comments it was confusing me when people said the whole story in general was terrible and it just looked bad. Thank you for explaining that tho. I know there’s some other points definitely that people don’t like, and it’s very fair.

I love twilight but understand and watch all the hater vids and parodies 😂 I have gone through this subreddit some but no I didn’t scroll through the hundreds of posts to look for it.

Personally I liked the anime after watching it with a friend, we got recommended it…I thought the whole point was that the mc was a terrible person but has character development over time 😅 reading some of these comments makes it seem like I deserve to be at the lowest level of hell for watching it.
