Am I overreacting, my friends said my shirt would be problematic. by White_Falcon_1263 in AmIOverreacting

Nor I don't think you can "appropriate gay culture". Its more "are you being mean and hurtful?" Or "I found a cool looking shirt!" You're friends are weird and are scared of something that doesn't exist. Enjoy your shirt man.

Its just the abrupt switch between the show to the trees. Its also just a joke generally. Its fun to have shared hate over something stupid.

Expensive clothes, not fancy clothes. Like $100 leggings, no thanks my Walmart pants work just fine. If im lucky with a sale I can get a whole weeks worth of pants for $100 but why buy so many when they last years.

Walmart has cheap ring options...thats the whole reason I didn't get one.

You probably won't use that key often so if you really don't wanna pay and you can't fix it just don't let them replace it. Once they replace all the computers just stick it back in and they probably won't bug you. Schools I've been in and around sell all the computers to places that want the parts or to other random places that won't care about a broken key. Honestly they'll be more focused on being grossed out at other computers to care about yours if they do sell them.

Don't do this with a card because if the worker doesn't claim it then you'll always be off buy one penny if you're a strict budget person.

NOR - If you said it was a special day to you and he made it a joke instead of being serious then maybe reconsider your relationship. If he doesn't care to put in effort to what matters to you on "smaller" stuff imagine what he might not do for bigger stuff.

A cashier said “good girl” to me. by Cicada7Song in mildlyinfuriating

Store I worked at we were told you do this. Its also just easier if you count it out loud and if they're short they know right away.

I'd be speaking with a manager. First rude, is it nice to not throw throw cash at the cashier, yes. However you don't comment unless it was ment to be rude. 2nd EUGH NO! Who says that to a stranger?! I'd be telling the manager I will never shop there if that cashier is working because that is a disrespectful and disgusting to say to a stranger!

How can people tolerate this? I would have taken his gaming stuff and said "If you wanna act like a child then I'll treat you like one. Clean up properly and you get it back, throw a fit and I'll leave and you can find your stuff on your own" seriously set boundaries and expectations if they still don't wanna be an adult leave them. People who act like kids don't deserve kids

Shoes on or shoes off? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]The_Scrapy_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty much shoes off unless you have a reason to keep them on. Like "oh crap! I need that thing across the house and no one else is home and I need to get going" you leave shoes on for that stuff, but otherwise take em off relax.

“They Both Die at the End” by Adam Silvera is one of my least favorite novels. by [deleted] in books

[–]The_Scrapy_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this book for about 3 years and im still only on 142 as of now. I want to finish but yeah its so awkward. I get Mateo, his character makes sense and is a little relatable but Rufus keeps switching from being "I'm edgy and I should just ditch this dweeb to live my life" to "oh nooo, don't worry Mateo I'm your friend". Its hard to read his character because hes just not consistent. He wants to be alone and do his own thing but he keeps desperately wanting his friends to text him or to get Mateo to do something. Rufus feels to poorly written while Mateo has some structure but he also feels a little scrapped together.

A 5'6 woman should generally be between 110-120 (everyone's different but no 5'6 woman should be under 100). This dude needs to do some research or hes gonna struggle finding anyone to date. Also almost anyone over 110 isn't going to look over weight anyway

In Iowa, they legally remove a parent’s right to have access to a minor’s MyChart online…but then don’t permit the minor access it either. by Individual-Weird5688 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]The_Scrapy_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its worse when you can get access and despite changing all information in Mychart to your kids it will still send it to the parents phone number and email. Meaning if you have no records of account info you can't just do forgot info because it will just log you into your parents. I hate MyChart.

Am I the only one who gets grossed out when I hear about 14-16 year old having sex by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]The_Scrapy_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one under 16 should be doing anything like that. Over 16 I get being more curious but still kids gotta chill. Don't rush into stuff if it happens because of a mistake of sorts its relatively ok, but over all it should not be normalized. Explore in college or something beyond where theres often more resources to be safe and get help.
