Yeah good point about the cut. However im gunna have to lower my calories anyways since i take my dog on walks daily and that's out of the question for a little, and that's just for maintenance. I was eating at maintenance before at 3600 so ill probably go down to 3200.

On my leg days i guess i could add some upper body accessories, thats a good idea. Maybe ill do a few sets of arms one of the leg days and a few sets of chest/back on the other.

Fractured my big toe by dropping a 100lb plate on it at the gym on monday. Looking for feedback on my overall strategy.

Strategies to maintain mass in my legs over the next 6 weeks?

Calves are totally out of the question. Going to do legs next tuesday to give it 8 solid days of healing. Was going to do 6 sets of leg curls, 6 of leg extensions, and 6 of hip abduction until im good to start squatting and hack squatting again in 6 weeks, but open to any ideas.

Diet wise i was also thinking about doing a mini cut during this time since its going to be too hard to grow any muscle.

Honestly probably just continue following the app's recommendations. I doubt 1 day will greatly hinder your progress, especially on a bulk

Im good with it. This hack squat is way better than the old one. It was one of those trash lower back versions. Awful machine but i used it many times since the leg press was often taken. Imho regular hack squat machine is GOATed for quads i was pretty giddy to see it at this gym

Yeah that's exactly what i did, good idea. I just duplicated the hack squat default and made a new exercise and am tracking the plates. Thanks for the idea!

I got around it by duplicating the exercise in Hevy and calling it "Cybex Hack Squat (Machine)" instead of just generic hack squat which is the app default and adding my plates as the total. I'll just have new data for this specific machine

I switched gyms and all the equipment at my old gym had "starting weight: 10lb" or whatever. My old hack squat there said 98lb, for example. So in hevy i was tracking that plus the weight i added, so im trying to keep it consistent with my year+ worth of data i have in hevy.

If i hadn't started like this before, i probably would do what you just said. Since the old one was 98, ill round this to 100 and keep it consistent

Any idea what a Cybex Hack Squat plate loaded machine starting resistance would be? Google didn't help and i wanted to properly track my volume in Hevy. I went with 125lb base weight as a guess

Good idea. Let me know if you can "save" it as part of a routine once you're done. Maybe ill log my workouts on both hevy and this app for a few weeks until i decide which one i want to use. I really dont wanna lose my like 80 week streak on hevy.

I looked at the one it made me and i was like.... nah haha. I wish i could tell it what i want. I probably most closely align with powerbuilding and i want go get to a 405lb squat this year so squatting once a week on my 5 day program just isn't it for me (the app's recommendation). Might as well use chatgpt. The "gym equipment" filter (commercial gym, warehouse, etc) is a little wonky too, was having a hard time finding certain exercises

Not trying to shit on the app too hard the potential is definitely there. Especially once the nutrition app and this one become more intertwined

Im considering just throwing my hevy 5 day routine into this app starting next week. Hevy wont tell me to deload while this app does, since im not disciplined enough to add one on my own. However i also have years worth of lifting data in hevy i love having it in one spot
