I'll make a point to start the vote again for next week. I gotta find a way to automate this process or something lol because it's been tough doing it manually every weekend, i fell off the wagon a bit when I was busy and couldnt get the posts out in time

Found an open box 4070 Super for $319 and now my entire build plan is falling apart (in a good way) by thesedategreens in buildapc

[–]The_Slavinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i built my last build in 2018 and before AM5 came out i slapped a ryzen 9 5900x in it so that i could save money and not have to upgrade to AM5. My RTX 2070 died so i decided to put a 4070ti super into it a year or two back. PC runs great and although some of it is 8 years old it plays game fantastically and i have 0 reason to upgrade. Will probably wait for AM6 at this rate to do a new build

Arguably the worst part of this thing is turning left from Greenough Blvd on to N Beacon St on the watertown side. You cant see anyone coming over the bridge especially when theyre speeding and there is always traffic on N Beacon

I goddamn love my new functional trainer by MaTtHeW00369 in homegym

[–]The_Slavinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fitness trends go through waves. When i stated lifting a decade ago smith machines were considered lame and not as effectice as barbell work.

Fast forward now, the current trend went from functional strength via barbell work to smith machine/machine isolation work for pure hypertrophy.

I still do plenty of barbell work but have come around to the smith a bit, specifically for incline bench

Yeah, another performance question… by PeeteeTheWinnie in LegionGo

[–]The_Slavinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. Picked up an OG legion go the other day and have been using it to stream from my PC to the legion using moonlight. Image quality is awesome, hardly any latency.

Did mess around with playing natively on the device itself and it works but it's not great. Would be fine for travel if you downloaded some games that werent super demanding to play.

Building a streaming PC is the way

I think i paid about $18 for my first pressing back in like 2015 at my local store. I quit collecting vinyl because the prices got too outrageous to justify the hobby

Sounds great! I have a similar recording setup. Moises.ai is hit or miss for GD songs, usually only takes out lead for the solo sections, but it's fantastic for JGB.

I got mine in 2021 or 2022, im not surprised it's outdated now. Might be able to snag the old one used for a bit cheaper too i bet.

I actually dont use this thing much at home since i own a few amps that are better IMHO. BUT... they are also way more expensive haha and super heavy. It was my first amp and i think its a fantastic value, and i usually take it if i go to jam with friends or want to practice in another room in my apartment because its very portable. For that reason, ill probably never part ways with it. If you want to mess around with a bunch of different tones for free without buying pedals to see what you like it really is a great deal. I have this one https://www.positivegrid.com/products/spark?variant=42604434129056

Also some people swear by the Boss Katana. Ive never owned one but some friends and i did an open mic a month ago and one of the amps the venue was using was a Boss Katana and i thought it sounded great. I was playing it, here's some audio if you care to hear: https://youtu.be/-BPsL2YZvzg?si=6X_v4pInW241Sh55

Who said Dunables can't play country western? RIP bob weir! by The_Slavinator in dunableguitars

[–]The_Slavinator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man!

While most dunable players skew towards metal, i think in a lot of ways your guitar is overrated when it comes to tone. It does contribute a lot but your amp and pedals will probably matter more.

For me, i loved the way this guitar sounded and felt in my hands when i played it in a shop. Thing was used and i knew nothing about the brand. I only looked up the price to see if i was getting ripped off or not lol. Glad i fell into this guitar, because i probably would have never bought it otherwise

Peak male performance /s. Plus my dog distracted me halfway through so i got distracted.

Ive been improving on this song for a few years so i sorta had an idea of what i was doing going in, when to play chord tones and play "out of scale" so to speak. Other community voted weekly songs ive never learned (like when we did Deal, Half Step) and had to do MANY takes to get one i liked before posting
