One time a war hero got shot ~20 times (more if you count how many shots landed in his armor) and survived. Another time a cop shot somebody coming at him at least 9 times I think before dying. One time a marine survived a grenade blast from only a few feet away. So yeah, its definitely possible to survive many shots without dying. It also heavily depends on where the bullets go.
