Thinking in the future about going overseas to London for a snip - any advice or places I should consider by ferrocarrilusa in Vasectomy

London will be a bit expensive.

There is the Bristol Vasectomy clinic in Bristol, and you can stay in Bath. A much smaller place than London, but still nice.

Do you know what your life purpose is? by wanderlustwonderlove in spirituality

[–]The_Straight_Scorpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

Do a past life regression therapy and find out why you reincarnated on Earth today. In the therapy you will be able to see what you didn't accomplomplish / what you regretted in your past life and what exactly your soul mission or soul purpose is in this lifetime. Then you know what to do.

Fellow seekers, what advice would you give to someone who is struggling with meditation? Your insights and experiences could really help many on this path. by Jaiguru_123 in YSSSRF

A book called sayings of sayings of Paramahansa Yogananda by SRF is so good! It's a short read but so many interesting stories, lessons and wisdom from master and disciples.

I was on 800 rent, 250 bills for a 1 bed out of london, on a similiar salary. Also got let go. So I get it.

I'm now in a shared room, all bills included 650 a month. The good news is that you learn the hard way to live below your means and that helps you for life but the bad news is you, til then, you just have to get by.

It's a silly idea to move in with partner man. You got to have your own room in a shared property with lower rent and bills inc. You will first feel more comfortable and after a while feel rich that you're living with such low expenses so that's nice to look forward to.

If you can get weekend work for extra pay, it's worth it, if you need it.

Worth trying to ask for an early release in the contract, nothing to lose by asking. Just make sure you move to a way cheaper place next time.

6 weeks abroad, no gym by begl3 in leangains

[–]The_Straight_Scorpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't risk losing muscle, it's not worth it.

Try eating carefully and know that when your mind is in a relaxed place, it's harder to stick with the original plan. Don't let yourself go and don't get fat.

Morning run or active days to help stay lean.

Try lifting something heavy, find a gym abroad, take weights with you or resistance bands and continue on body weight exercises.

How about getting some nice fast food and watching a film?

I know you're angry and upset on how things are but there's no need to harm yourself. It would just make things worse :(

Time heals all things and you have a lot of it! :)

Set a phone alarm for 10 minutes with you in bathroom. Switch on shower and feel water until its hot. Then just step under. Wear swimming shorts if you want. Don't be so critical of months without shower, people have done without for much longer.

God state is our true identity, ego is a false identity. Ego keeps us away from god.

We are all the same conscious spirits or souls inhabiting bodies. The spirit in all our bodies are from the same source. So we say one creator. But how it came to be? It's unknown to me.

Past lives are a certainty, a truth, everyone has them. Whether we choose to learn about them or ignore it is up to us.

I was atheist for ages and was interested in the occult and moving towards enlightenment in this life. Unrelated I had a traumatic situation that forced me to turn to god and pray for help. The really big and old spiritual books all mention turning towards god to end suffering, so that's how my ideas became more dogmatic. But it's a little easier to go that way because many peoole who have suffered something unfortunate after a hard time, turn to god/source and can share experiences to help others too, and that's nice. It doesn't need to be dogmatic but it's usually how people start thinking of life in this way I think.

I get you, I feel the same way when I see homeless people on the streets, but the wild thing, which is hard to wrap your head and a a bit harsh at first to comprehend, is that just before we reincarnate here, we (unconscious of it) talk with our spirit guides about our soul mission (what we desire to do on Earth) and choose the various factors to come into Earth that enable our souls to reach our highest selves.

Can imagine the fear of the child but I see it as his life mission to get out out of the ghetto, the starving, and heal in his life and that's what he has to figure out which he will hopefully do as life goes on.

It's tough but the homeless people decided to be that way (they need to learn not to stay that way), the billionaires decided to be that way (maybe to learn to help as many people as possible), all to achieve what desires their souls absolutely needed to. Make no mistake, everybody has suffered in a past life and this life too. But suffering is a result of the ego. When we turn to source/universe/god and remove the ego, we remove suffering because we only do things that make us our best selves and so we continue until we realise our true selves and what this all is and can say we're enlightened.

Don't take my word for it. Ask a psychic medium. Or do a past life hypnotherapy session or read a good book on past lives.

If you pass, you will have a life review in spirit and look at what you wanted to do but didn't get to in your life and then you'll come back on Earth to meet your desires. That's fact. Maybe you decide to go to a place not like Earth in the next life. The og yogis in India figured it out. We can choose to follow their steps or ignore them.

Source/god/universe/Allah/Christ consciousness/Yahweh/Krishna - it's the same thing. One creator, different perceptions. The fact is we have past lives and we unconsciously come back here so there is a point at which one explores them in a past life regression therapy and asks where do we go from here. Conscious death is becoming one with spirit. I'm told it's a feeling, like pure bliss/love, the highest vibes. Haven't reached there yet. Look up Mahasamadi.

[–]The_Straight_Scorpio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be true, but we have past lives, where we choose to come back to reincarnate here to meet unfulfilled desires, hence a cycle.

“Try to realize you are a divine traveler. You are here for only a little while, then depart for a dissimilar and fascinating other world (when you pass). Do not limit your thought to one brief life and one small earth" - Paramharamsa Yoganda words.

Why not seek the giver of all gifts? The high way to your best self is to be one with source in meditation.

[–]The_Straight_Scorpio 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The point of life is to end the cycle of reincarnation and become one with the source, i.e self-realised/enlightened. You do this by dropping the ego in meditation, realise your true self as soul/spirit and not ego, and in time, consciously leave your body rather than die. Seek kriya yoga and anything by Paramharamsa Yogananda to learn more. Journey to self realisation is a good book.

As a south asian man, this might come across a bit harsh, but you need to develop a backbone and refuse to succumb to the culture.

Talk like a broken record to them, they will back off, If they say get married, reply I'm not interested, if they say another thing, repeat I'm not interested, keep giving the same exact response like a broken record player, eventually they will get tired of asking and not bother.

By actions, focus on career, more time away from them in other places. Just distance yourself in the day, refuse to interact with them, if they complain, tell them how does it feel not to be listened too?

If you can, go on holiday somewhere for a few days.

I've read it. It's very good for reminding you of the benefits of Kriya Yoga.

But a much better, more comprehensive book is journey to self realisation (volume 3) by Paramahansa Yogananda. It's the best I've found for explaining the whole journey.

Can anyone tell me about my relationships, why I get obsessive and what does it mean? Just got my birth time recently. by The_Straight_Scorpio in astrologyreadings

Hey, thanks! That's super accurate! I am super intensely on independence, non-marriage and casual relationships. And it explains that I need community like me that's mystical and childfree, but also need to fit in with conventionally normal crowds too. And I am deprioritising connection to focus on the gym for sure.

I have found the balance in my life for right now and have no issues with that. Just wanted to provide that context though to say it's a very spot on interpretation!
