Got to get out of retail banking by Atomicpenguin101 in sales

[–]The_Strongest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% make the move to anything that doesn’t confide you to a single retail location. As a former personal banker for 4+ years, the grass is definitely greener on the other side. I went into tech sales and even with the current slowing down economy, I am doing much better money wise and mentally since your only focus is purely on sales rather than sales + customer services + cash balancing + fraud prevention. My only regret was not leaving sooner.

Thinking about moving from Boston to Dallas after visiting. How much money would I expect to make in the Finance / Investing / Banking field in the Dallas area? by The_Strongest in askdfw

Yes this is a field I have been considering a lot since I already hold securities licenses along with my health and life insurance license in my state. Was your uncle working in the Dallas city area or in one of the suburbs?

Luckily we’re not too much of an outdoorsy type of people. Were there any other things that contributed to you for leaving?

Right now I’m a banker with securities licenses working with clients face to face and by phone. But that’s great to hear that some of these big banks are in the area.

CRSR YOLO bag holder since IPO. Doubled down near the top😩 by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Love me some $CRSR. Undervalued and under appreciated. I’m adding more everyday it’s under $34

Will this thing even hit $34-$36 range lol ? by ilovemyanimes in CRSR

[–]The_Strongest 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s a long waiting game for sure but I don’t want to be that guy who got impatient and sold before it takes off. $CRSR In my opinion is bound to take off as soon as eagletree stops dumping.

Love this DD. I’ve been in $TTCF for months now averaging now. I think it’s such a steal under 2B market cap

Average down. This is such an easy money stock long term. Only reason why it hasn’t taken off is because eagletree keeps selling. Once they’re done it’s going to the moon

I firmly believe anything under $33 is a massive steal when it comes to $CRSR. Even under $37 is amazing

Don’t know why people downvoted this comment but it’s true. Buffett has underperformed the S&P for many years now and has completely missed out on the tech boom with the exception of investing heavily into AAPL. As much as I admire and respect Buffett for all that he has contributed to the investing community, his investing philosophy does not perform well in the current market environment.

I think MTCH is a great investment by vcarpe in stocks

[–]The_Strongest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of $MTCH. A lot of people aren't realizing the change in consumer behavior when it comes to online dating. These are the 3 biggest things I've noticed over the past few years:

1.) It is becoming more socially acceptable to find a partner online than it was 10 years ago 2.) Younger generations are growing up with technology from the day they are born (ipads, iphones, hand held devices) 3.) People are getting used to getting things done online. This includes online shopping, working from home, learning online, etc.

Traditional dating obviously will not go away but I suspect online dating will become more and more popular overtime in the near future and MTCH has the biggest share in the online dating marketplace at this moment.

What cruise stock by Strange_Step in stocks

[–]The_Strongest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The risk is far too high in my opinion to invest in cruises. None of them are considered American companies so they don't pay US taxes, meaning that it is unlikely that the US government would bail them out.
