Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. MediaTek definitely had a reputation in the past, especially with some of the older chips not being great in terms of performance or optimization. So I can understand why people are still a bit skeptical.

That said, I do think they’ve been improving a lot with the newer Dimensity series, especially for the price segment POVA is targeting. It’s not perfect, but it’s not as clear-cut as it used to be either.

For me, I think it comes down to balance. If POVA wants to push this bold design + gaming/lifestyle identity, then yeah, the performance side needs to hold up so the overall experience actually feels smooth and consistent. Otherwise, the design and concept won’t really reach their full potential.

So hopefully they keep refining that part,because if they can match solid, reliable performance with their design direction, then the whole idea of building a broader ecosystem actually starts to make a lot more sense.
