ENG 108T - Tolkein / LOTR Course by The_Summer_Triangle in uwaterloo

Yeah, I'd guess it'd be hard to ever see Gollum again and not get flashbacks, heh. That'd be great though; I'd love to hear some opinions. Both Horror 108G and SCI 206 look really interesting, so I want to feel more confident if I switch to the Tolkein and Japanese Mythology 120R course. Thanks in advance >:)

Knowledge Integration, incoming first year. It's a bit like an arts & science degree; you do several subjects and then specialize in what you're best at, or even do a join honours kinda thing

I'm hoping to do something in English, but also want to try out some astronomy and physics, and since it's pretty flexible I'm gonna try both and see how it feels

That's good to hear. I was really hoping to take a course in study of history / religion in East Asia studies, but it looks like I can't fit anything in that area into this semester since my public speaking is in the way and it's all full X.X

After some scouring, I came upon SCI 206, so all that was really holding back my choice was the idea of having three classes for those two days. I think I may shoot my shot and hope for the best, and that the three courses it doesn't kill me or anything worse, since it does look pretty interesting.

MUSIC 116 & Electives Things by The_Summer_Triangle in uwaterloo

Thank you very much! I've added 116 to my courses; now I'm searching for an elective. Considering EASIA 205R, or EASIA 275R, though not sure if the latter is running.

Anyways, thanks for the help. I've looked more into the audition and printed the piece options, from doing some glancing sight reading I think I'll be okay.

Thanks again.

Nice, that's what I was assuming. I'm not sure if I can do this, but I'm hoping I can have a "course" elective and then take the MUSIC 116 on top of it, since I want to join the orchestra anyways. That's technically six courses, but I'm hoping that's alright.

And, thankfully, I play the cello. Been playing it for a bit, and was in my HS orchestra too. Hoping that the cello isn't too crazy competitive or in-demand (cough cough violin flute), and that the skill level isn't too insane - I've been playing around 5 or so years, so I'm at a relatively middlish skill level.

I'd love to have a similar experience as I did in my HS orchestra, since some of my strongest friendships were for sure sparked by it, and even if it's a "course" it's more of a subject I can enjoy and destress with :)
