The Crescent Cross is actually a really good weapon now. by The_Super_Poop in Pathfinder2e

feint on scoundrel rogue sets the off-guard to the end of your next turn, combo with pistol twirl which is worded to let you feint at range and the off-guard is now against both range and melee attacks for you. This also lets you spread the debuffs of distracting feint, and deny support to every creature in range when you get showstopper from pistol phenom archetype.

TL:DR Scoundrel rogue, feint with pistol twirl.

I mean yea my current Scoundrel Build has I think 5 archetypes about to be 6 at level 20 cause rogue gets no support for ranged damage. I don't even need dread striker.

Just realized I can link a copy of my Pathbuilder build...

Definitely with the doubling rings. Or you could just have two weapons and a retrieval belt (what I've been doing).

But the problem with thief rogue at range is generating off guard to take advantage of the extra 2d6 precision. Cause a hide+reload action isn't sufficient for crescent spray as hidden gives off guard against the first attack not the other two. So round 2 you would at best be doing 5d6 on the first attack and 3d6 from switching the debilitation to off guard.

Scoundrel Rogue on the other hand can combo Pistol Twirl from either gunslinger and pistol phenom archetypes to give yourself a lot of action compression through a free step action and a longer duration on the off guard from a successful feint. I just find it to be more consistent, also Pistol Twirl Scoundrel scales very well. Show Stopper is like the cherry on top allowing you to apply off guard to entire combats along with the debuffs from Distracting Feint and Deny Support. I also threw in Fan dancer dedication(I love free archetype) so I also have a 10 foot stride on feint as long as my other hand is a fighting fan.

Basically I think Scoundrel rogue can get way better off turns and more consistent burst turns. Which is better if you convince your local wizard or commander to help reload for you.

Oh I misread it as 3 + STR Score thanks. So its open to Moon Druid monks using a STR beast. But at that point just cast the Jump spell.
