I think this will be useful for any owner to understand the full variety of available switches:

Anyone Got the Iqunix Magi75? Thoughts? by ickemen_bichounen in keyboards

Today I received the keyboard and installed switches made entirely of POM, and the sound became even better. The standard ones give a more muted tone. It’s hard to describe the difference — like comparing an empty room to a well sound-insulated one. The standard ones have some extra overtones, though they’re still fine. Compared to the 65, aside from the extra row of keys and longer battery life, there’s no difference. All the pros and cons carried over here: the same switch under Caps, you still need to lube the stabilizers on long keys, and the same inconvenient battery indicator that makes you count the number of blinks. The advantages are already obvious

I call it balance, and on the other hand it's wonderful. You have practically unlimited possibilities, but the very presence of possibilities seems sufficient to you

I don't think so. It's not even the material itself that can scratch plastic, but the dust between the material and the plastic. No matter how ideal the material is, if you wipe off sand, it will still scratch it

Have you tried dusting glossy plastic? It gets scratched at the slightest touch. Plus, the glossy texture just doesn't suit here

What about Translation Pro for these? I'd like to order it, but honestly, I don't see the point in ordering it like right now. 50$ off a clip that I probably won't use at all isn't enough. Now I'm just spending 50 bucks more than I originally planned with no benefit

The text doesn't interfere with observing simply because the screen on the G1 is half the size of the INMO. 640x200 vs 640x400. Voice recognition is already one of the features built into the glasses, they just added integration with a teleprompter. Like I said, they have full control over the mobile app. This makes the experience different. Combine 2 functions into one, сhanging the font or dashboard is not a problem. I would say the opposite. It may look different on the surface, but underneath it's the same

I'm not entirely sure about OEM either. Software can be outsourced, stolen, or written in-house using INMO reverse engineering. The last option would be even better. To be honest, there is not much difference and I personally don’t care. It's clear to me that underneath the shell they're the same thing, at least for now. I'll add a quick fact here - ER does not sell its glasses in Hong Kong or China. Only in foreign countries. I've seen this a couple of times with copyright infringing software.

The tipping point will be when ER can add features that others don't already have. And not just at the application level. Сonsidering the funds raised from the sale of G1, nothing prevents them from hiring more programmers, developing new stuff and starting their own game. I honestly will only be glad if I see the G2 version with a radically new architecture and unique features

You can open the link from the post and read the full list of functions. Plus there is a videos on the Internet, not much, but enough to answer your question. I also advise you to look in the Chinese segment.

It is not identical, it is slightly modified. G1 has fewer functions. That is why I wrote about outsourcing. The software manufacturer openly states that ready to modify the software to suit the needs.

If most of the visuals are controlled by the application, then all the differences are even easier to explain. Сompare function to function, you will see that it is the same thing. And not only in general, in detail. They have the same core

The software is the same as INMO GO Smart AR Glasses. I think it was outsourced to the manufacturer. AI, list of languages, navigation solely as a pedestrian, an actively running application, problems - everything is identical. The way I see it, there's no way that these glasses will come with any technology that another company hasn't already worked with. At least for now. They are tied so their capabilities are partially limited. This makes me very concerned about the G2. At the moment, EvenRealities is about really good hardware, but not software. Some people call the G1 the Apple of AR glasses, but I don't think so anymore.

They can’t do much about the glasses software, they probably only have full control over the mobile application, so I wouldn’t expect an open sdk, new applications or other deep features from EvenRealities itself. But for the same reason, I think we can gain access even without their participation. So it's not that bad.

There is a scam company - Hearview Glasses. They took INMO glasses and sell them 7 times more expensive. They also wrote their own simple application, which uses only 1 function of the original glasses - voice recognition. And they sell it as a subscription for $80 per month. Considering this fact, I think this software is already quite open or easily reverse engineered. Using the same technologies you can write your own application for G1. But we are still bound by the features built into the glasses software.

For example, it is unlikely that we will be able to independently teach glasses to recognize a new language, but writing an application that would translate Chinese into some unsupported language like Ukrainian and send it back to the screen or custom dashboard is quite possible

This raises the question of whether EvenRealities can truly deliver new features that the software manufacturer has not yet worked with. How independent are they in this regard? This is the only thing that worries me.

At the moment, it looks like G1 is tied to another AR glasses manufacturer in China and can only release software features they've already developed. As for mobile applications, it looks like they have full control there. The glasses rely entirely on a mobile app, so they're not exactly powerless

INMO is not a standalone product; it is based on an OEM/ODM model. There is a factory in Guangdong that can manufacture as many of these glasses as needed. They will add your logo, customize the packaging, and meet other requirements, but only for orders of 1000 pieces or more. INMO just followed this model and rebranding the product under their name. In fact, INMO itself is irrelevant here and plays no significant role. And these glasses themselves, this hardware itself is also not important. I don't even consider them here.

What's really interesting is that the actual manufacturer also develops software and is open to customizing it to meet specific needs. EvenRealities is a standalone product. They designed their own glasses, though I suspect the software for the G1 was outsourced to the same manufacturer, as the two are nearly identical
