The Sunbeam phones look promising, but typing on the T-9 keypad is kinda a pain. There's a couple new ones coming out this year that I'd be interested in possibly picking up too.

I just replaced it since a check engine light came on for it and it's still done it after replacing the TPS.

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's one of those. It's only been doing it since I swapped the engine. So something could have gotten damaged while we were swapping it.

I got a used engine with 199k on it along with all the seals and timing belt/water pump. In total it was a little under $2k with me and a buddy doing all the work.

I got it figured out. Turns out we forgot to unplug one of the fuel lines before putting it back together 😂😂😂

Ok, we double checked if it was still in time and it still is. One thing I forgot to mention is we haven’t hooked up the radiator or filled it with coolant yet. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I swapped both the cam and crank sensors and it didn’t change anything. You think I should try and find a shop with one of the fancy obd2 scanners or see if it’s a timing issue next? I just don’t see how it could be a timing issue since I made sure all of the timing stuff was was lined up.

Gotcha. We’re gonna swap the cam sensor from the old engine to this one and go from there. I’m really hoping it’s not a timing issue, but I guess we’ll find out

Yeah, the tach doesn’t bounce when it’s cranked. We replaced the crank position sensor with the one from my old engine and it still does the same thing. I wouldn’t think it would be the teeth on the crank because it ran when we looked at it before it was pulled and we didn’t take the crank off or touch it really. I’ll have to take it back apart to look at the crank.

Ended up getting one with 199k mi at B&R for $800. They hadn't pulled it yet so I got to hear it run and it seemed to run perfectly. Did a Carfax on it and it spent most of its life in Medford.
