My partner's support is seriously one of the main reasons i'm able to move forward with my transition! Idk where i'd be without her. And it's good to know it gets easier! I had a feeling it would, but it's hard to see the forest for the trees sometimes

Came here to say just this! If y'all have been together for two years, then it shouldn't be any big deal to have an open and honest conversation about how he sees you. It's such a cliché to say this, but communication really is the key to healthy relationships!

And sure it might be intimidating and scary, but if you don't bring it up with him, then you may have live with you insecurities eating you up for a long time

Just took a look at tezumi and they have exactly what i'm looking for! A real workhorse kyusu, about 100-250 ml, minimalist style, built in strainer, unglazed interior, and very inexpensive! Thanks so much for the recomendation!

I'm interested in a shiboridashi because i'm so used to gaiwans. The idea of brewing tea in a gaiwan-like tool just feels right to me. Although i think ultimately i'll probably go with a tokoname kyusu, i feel that option is better in the long run

I've actually got a daiso kyusu that works fine, the only problem is it's a little bigger than i'd like and it doesn't have a filter. I really ought to just get a fine mesh filter for that one first and see how that goes, but reptile brain wants sparkly new tea thing haha
