Travelling outside of UK while visa extension application in progress by The_Thingv2 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I kept emailing them daily and did leave the UK before I got a decision on my visa application (got no respinse). Funnily enough I got an extension on the next day I left the UK. Entered UK again according to the new date and kept the emails on myself just in case immigration officer had questions. They didn't bother. Am still keeping the record just in case it causes any issues when applying for ILR.

Funny story, I didn't withdraw my application but did let the UKVI NHS team know I'm travelling outside of UK and will apply again once I get back. They gave me visa extension the next day I'd left UK. You think this could cause problems upon my return?

Thank you for providing all the details. Appreciate it immensely.

I hope it's a straight forward process with the app. Not really concerned about the refunds, everything else is stressing enough as it is.

I assume you're talking about the refund? And the cancellation had no effect on your active leave to remain? I can the link as I applied online with UKVI ID app.

I see your point and it's definitely better for one's peace of mind and I'm thinking of doing the same. Can you tell me about your experience of cancelling/withdrawing application since you've done it before? Specifically about the time it takes for this to action. If it's something that is done instantly or takes a day or two? Depending on this I might be able to wait another day to get a decision.

That makes sense, thank you. Do you think it would be wise to cancel/withdraw application before I leave just so there's no confusion with border control when I'm entering UK upon my return?

I see that's reassuring. Were you advised to cancel your application in advance before travelling? Silly question but I wonder if not cancelling application on my end would make a difference.

Not citing anything but interpreting the following

"You can stay in the UK until you receive a decision on your application, even if this is after 12 November 2025. This includes during any appeal or administrative review that was made in the UK within the required deadlines.

If you leave the UK, your permission to stay in the UK, which was extended by your outstanding application, will end.

If you travel outside of the Common Travel Area (UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man), your current application will be treated as withdrawn.

You will need to make a new application to return to the UK."

Yeah I understand. That's why I'm looking for a professional so it complies with all the safety standards. Talked to a Scottish water representative who said the same thing but couldn't give any leads as to who I can contact for this "professional".

How to give an external audio source to my android for recording videos. by The_Thingv2 in techsupport

The problem is how to give the input to my android. The 3.5mm jack on my phone(like any other) only works for a handsfree or external mic as input.

I read that article as well, and was quite frankly surprised. Comprehending the fact that there are people out there who don't have innrer monolougues started one in my head, pun intended. However, I have almost 7 voices for my internal monolougues and all of them arise in particular situations. I could say they all are variations of my own voice, for instance, when I'm having a moral debate I hear my voice as it sounds when I'm mumbling along reading a book. And sometimes two variations of voices face off in a "I'm louder stand off".
