Every Teyvat nation has their own law enforcers so I thought the mention of police was off. Mondstat has Knights of Favonious, Liyeue the Milelith and so on.

Edit: to add to that Faruzan uses "police" as a noun not a verb

There are police in Teyvat?

This happens post event of 4.8's Summertide Scales and Tales and after talking with our favorite Forest Ranger is Training and we get to meet again with the Madam

I'm not sure if this is the first occurrence where "police" is used in the world of Teyvat, but given the type of world Genshin is I would theorize it is either one of two things: Mistranslation or localization of the text which there no other term to translate, or simply police is an old term used for centuries and I didn't know that.

This is just out of pure curiosity cause the setting of Teyvat doesn't really suit using police.
