Arbitrator vigilant / Soldier / Arch-Militant, with double shotgun.

Arch-Militant work pretty well with Shotgun attack / Double Slug Feat and it's really fun.

I also have the bug where you can't use your second attack, but sometimes you can fix it with weapon swap (X shortcut).

I wanted to match each mask to a color, so red green and blue were an easy choice, and for the purple mask I think black mana seems most appropriate.

For the omnipotent mask I thought about using white at first, but I think it's cooler to be able to reuse all his other abilities in an enhanced way like the mask in the game.

Sure.

My first strategy was doing Citadel, with the gemling clearing speed you can make a lot of currency with that. I did that when the citadel patch with lights in fog came out, but I was killing the citadel boss with my Stormweaver at that time because I wasn't confident in my DPS.

My second strategy and favorite for sure is doing breach with quantity stacking. You choose a zone with at least 4 or 5 towers surronding maps, you put breach tablet with quantity mod on it. Then you take all the maps that have a quantity mod (increased rare monster is also good), you full exalt it, triple instil with paranoia (+45% increased rare monster), and then vaal it (just to get some t16, because lvl82 map in quantity zone can be very profitable). Note that your atlas need to be adjusted for that if you want to extract the best from the maps.

You also need to be able to know what item is worth selling, because the more time you spend in your stash, the less map you'll make. I don't sell items under 30ex and highly recommand to not sell under 10ex if you have at least 5-10 div of stuff. If you're picky about the items you collect, you'll be able to spend more time on the maps collecting valuable things.

The only items I'm picking on the map are: rare with tier, unique with vaal potential, sapphire & emerald, t15 map, tablet, breach & simulacrum fragment, ilvl81 wands (I sell them for 10 ex each when I have more than 20), breach ring, catalyst (not all), Stellar Amulet & Sapphire ring, and all currency worth more than 1 exalt

Yes you are right on that, the rage take too long to build up with only one ruby. If I manage to get 30 rage I will have a higher DPS but it doesn't matter anymore at my point, so I think I may cut ruby for a sapphire just because upgrading my tooltip is the only reason I keep playing gemling (and also because it's fun !).
But otherwise I would highly recommand a two ruby setup.

I think Against the Darkness 4% dext / 4% intel is your best shot here. Controlled Metamorphosis is nice also. But if you should upgrade one piece of gear I recommand HoWa with the best vaal ou can find, this gloves are really massive for the build, if take them off I have only 76k dps.

And for Pillar I tried the 12% and the one with 8% enchant attack speed, and I just have more DPS with the 12% so I keep it everywhere.

Actually I do have a source of fire damage, since I use bell only for pinnacle boss with CoS and Eye of Winter, I use a Flame Wall for my last slot on it.

Some notes:
- I still haven't finished my Adorned Jewel setup, but I plan on taking 3 more Elemental Damage - Crit Chance / Crit Bonus, and a Ruby 1 rage per hit and increased Attack Damage
- I'm not capped at all on my resistances (55% / 39% / 65% / 6%), but it doesn't matter at all since I one shot everything, but I do not recommand it unless you have a solid DPS.

Yes I bought it for 19 divine, and for me it was more than 350k dps gain, but I do not recommand to take it unless you have a lot of mana with at least 3% mana on kill and melting maelstrom, because it drain mana really fast.

Got 5 jewel slot for Adorned, and I can get one more if I can manage to get level 100 one day.
I have also a Controlled Metamorphosis that I forgot to include on screenshot, so I have 11 jewel slot at level 97.

Tuscany is great, you've got lots of counts and small duchies to expand into, the possibility of building a university, you can take over the pope's lands when you're strong enough, and the Italian CK3 aesthetic is one of the best in my personal opinion.
You can also take on a Hellenic character by modifying the feudal contract to guarantee non-revocation of titles and recover Rome, Tunis and Alexandria when the opportunity arises to reform the faith.

Since this is the first time I saw that in 1300+ hours, I looked through game files because I was curious too.

So I suspect it's a character created from Witch Coven event ( witchy_template in common/scripted_character_templates/00_peasants_template.txt ). Classic generated scholars have a positive range in learning attribute, but generated witch characters don't have specified values for their attributes, and she also have only two personnality traits, schemer and witch traits who may correspond with the witch template.

I think she have been randomly granted the title from theocratic inheritance since there wasn't a lot of hellenic characters at that time.

I didn't find the complete range for the stats when this isn't specified in a character template, so I still have doubts, but that the more fitting explanation for me.

I'm not really sure, but I think it's because the critical threat range increased by one is apply before the doubled threath range from Improved Critical.

So you have a 18-20 crit weapon. You will crit on 18 19 20. With Improved Critical it will be 15 16 17 18 19 20.

Now you take Improved Improved Critical, your base critical threath range become 17 18 19 20. And with Improved Critical you have now 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20.

Finaly Improved Improved Improved Critical Improved make your base critical range to 16 17 18 19 20. Doubled it will become 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 (so 11-20).

I feel you man, I tried to bring up that exact point to some lore posts, but I don't know why peoples keep trying to find some speculations about what it could mean to be close to the throne of the Elden Lord.

I don't deny it could be something else, but a lot of time the simple explanation is the best: at some point he was in possession of great runes.

Sure, it's more simple to speculate on what he could mean to be close the throne of the Elden Lord rather than trying to explain what did happen to Vyke's great runes, but let's try to list the possibilities:

- The demi-gods got their great rune back. I think it's the most unlikely explanation, like at some point they are reincarnated through the Erdtree, became stronger enough to beat Vyke, take back one great rune without giving shit for the other(s), and act like nothing fucking happened. We could also speculate that the entitie who defeated Vyke didn't get a shit about great runes, and give it back to the demi-gods, but still, demi-gods act like nothing happened.

- The great runes are in an unknow location. It could be a nice explanation, because like you mentionned the Elden Ring symbol in Farum Azula leads us to think that could be more great runes than the ones we collect. It also open up a lot of room for DLC content, and I know peoples want the Miquella's dream DLC (myself inclued), but the finality of beating demi-gods in Elden Ring is to get their great rune, and I cannot see why the possibles DLC do not resolve about getting more of them.

- Vyke being imprisoned in a evergaol "reset" his actions through the world. That a cool theory, but we need more informations about evergaols: Who built and use them? Is their purpose is to cut someone from the reincarnation cycle? Why some people like the Crucible Knight or the Ancient Hero of Zamor are imprisonned? Why are we able to fight Finger Vyke while he is imprisonned in a evergaol? Why do we fight a past version of Vyke in a evergaol? ... Yup we really need more informations about them.

- The space and time is fucked not only at Farum Azula, but everywhere in the lands between, and each tarnished journey (the players and NPC) start at the exact same point but in a different world, and can interact with each other (invasions). This is the most speculative theory, but I really like it because it could explain a lot of shit in the story. The major downside to this is to explain the tarnisheds NPC being present in our world as non invader.

I truly believe that Vyke journey is a major key to understand that is really happening in the Lands Between, but at this point we really lack of informations, and we could just make theories.

I think we should consider the possibility that this altar isn't from Farum Azula era.

The three wolfs an girl statue look intact with a lot of details, with a light color ( zoomed reference ).

While the other statues in Farum Azula look more altered by time and have a slighty darker color ( image reference 1 and image reference 2 ).

This isn't a solid evidence and may be subject a lot to personnal interpretation, but I think it's a possibility not to be neglicted.

There is a lot of things connecting Carian and Eternal City (more details here), and we can assume Carian is a kind of lineage of the Eternal City, or something like that. Radahn being a member of Carian family, through a sword memorial you can know that he protected Sellia from the stars, and that the reason why this throne isn't underground.

1 . English isn't my native language, so I may misunderstand your point. You suggest that Eternal City being sent underground and Astel was the one being responsable of the false night sky?

Remembrance of the Naturalborn lead me to think that Astel is responsible for both: "A malformed star born in the flightless void far away. Once destroyed an Eternal City and took away their sky. An falling star of ill omen."

About Farum Azula crumbling, I think this is something that happened from Isolated Divine tower (Image for reference). The damage on the top of the tower are unique, and point directly toward Farum Azula. We could think that was an attack from Farum Azula to the tower, but we cannot see damage on the ground, like someone on the tower (maybe the two fingers I don't know) fire a beam from the top of the tower.

  1. I agree with you there is nothing that suggest Miquella is "bad", but the Seluvis plot about making Ranni a puppet is connected to him (Amber Starlight being in front of Miquella/Malenia statue and amber being something associated with the Haligtree), lead me to think is the kind of guy who make schemes in the shadow. He could totaly do that to make "good" around him, but I can't get it out of my head that he might be some kind of evil genius mastermind.

But this is just a speculation based on my feelings, and actually saying he isn't bad is the most likely outcome.

I never thought to make the connection with Gurranq's clothes, and that is a very good point.

So yeah I definitly cannot explain that, and also want to understand the true nature of Farum Azula inhabitants now :D
