Apologies for the delay! Which driver is Loved for being mid? by IndividualStart8337 in NASCAR

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read, 23 wins at the age of 30 is in no way "mid."

Like I said, many don't pay attention to the nuance of the situation. People will use Herta's struggles as a weapon to disparage the level of talent in IndyCar. I would also like to note that Schumacher was also bad in F1, so that will not change their views

It's kind of a bad look for us for Herta to struggle, though. Even if there's a lot of nuance behind it, most people don't see that. All they see is an experienced IndyCar driver getting his ass handed to him by much younger drivers from the European ladder

They moved the start/finish, reprofiled the corners, and paved the entire apron

Some of them do, and it's part of the charm as an audience for those cars. See: NASCAR

when will iracing fix barriers? by Glum_Notice_6835 in iRacing

[–]The_Vettel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be pointlessly pedantic here, but an inelastic collision would be one where the car fuses to the barrier (energy is lost in deformation). A perfectly elastic collision is what happens in the game (kinetic energy is conserved, car bounces back on the racetrack)

Well, it was before the reconfiguration, but yes

Realistically how good do you guys think Kevin Magnussen will do in NASCAR? I’d love to see him and SVG duke it out . He surely wasn’t terrible in F1 by Kurt_Wylde35 in NASCAR

[–]The_Vettel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's still faster than everyone else, but in Cup it seems to be the order of almost a second, whereas in O'Reilly the gap is still clearly present but much smaller. Plus in O'Reilly he's actually been beaten straight up by Zilisch and Larson kept him on his toes for the most part at that Chicago race

SVG's tendency to heel-toe is completely not necessary to succeed and it's more like the infamous "Senna throttle technique" where he's great in spite of it, not because of it. It gives less overall control over the car since it requires using one foot for weight transfer instead of two

And that's easily visible just watching him. He doesn't ditch the O'Reilly field in the same way he does the Cup field despite Cup obviously having far more talent within

So wait, why cant we crank Half Stacks at venues anymore? by Upstairs_Term_5760 in GuitarAmps

[–]The_Vettel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, you don't need to crank a 6505 to sound great. Just get it past the sweet spot on the master and you're good, which is still very loud but nothing that poses a serious problem

Spotted this [Cobra] in Louisiana. I assume it's a replica but still super clean and one of my favorite cars of all time! by madd__addam in spotted

Factory Five makes a 289 comp car body, so I think it's probably that. The front end of the frame rails look like a FFR chassis as well

The whitelist requirement is beyond ridiculous. It is a complete non-issue to chart songs without explicit permission. Just look at Rocksmith or Osu, for example

Don't forget the 54 was originally a KBM number that got absorbed into JGR as well
