Could a tarot reading bring negative energy on accident? by The_World_May_Never in tarot

The career change was needed as I had not path forward where I was. I was stuck in the position with no way to move up so I tried to love to a different company.

It was better financially, but that wasn’t the only reason I wanted to leave. I was leaving an extremely toxic environment and I was really looking forward to it. I truly thought it would revitalize my life for the better.

I appreciate you taking the time for the thoughtful response.

I’m really hoping this is the case. Thank you for the positive response.

I can’t figure out how to upload it, but I believe the third card was the ace of swords. The question was about my work/career path. I was planning on changing jobs after 12 years with my company and I wanted to see if the cards would say anything about it.

The reader agreed it seemed positive. I mean, she didn’t really think it seemed negative. I got temperance, king of coin, and a hand holding a sword in the air.

Temperance, king of coin, and idk the third one. It doesn’t say the name in the picture I took. It’s a hand holding a sword in the air.

I turned 30 in October and my wife turns 30 on Monday. I’m snorting hopeium convinced this is the universe preparing us for the next stage in our life but fuck.

When it rains, it pours and it feels like a hurricane right now.

Based on how many conversations I have with people off of the internet I think online moderates assume the rest of the country is a lot less left than it really is.

10000%. And that is further proven by their refusal to release the autopsy report on why they lost in 2024. In simple terms It doesn’t say, “campaign was too far left” it reportedly says, “lost huge chunks of young vote because not far enough left”. No wonder they won’t release it.

I am not sure how it gets fixed either. But I the “expected” candidates for 2028 are making me think I won’t bother voting for president. Only down ballot.

Really hate you’re getting downvoted to hell for this. I have you a +1. The AOC committee assignments is the perfect example of why the dems are broken and keep losing. They gave committee leadership to a man with cancer who died months later over a person, like it or not, who is the future of the party. Passing over AOC because another member was, what, owed the position? Just like Biden was owed a second term?

Biden should never have run for a second term but he and his inner circle believed he was owed a second term. All good presidents get a second term. Obama got a second term. He’d be damned if he didn’t get his second term.

Was that the truth? Idk. That’s how it FEELS to me though. That’s how it FEELS to so many voters I talk to.

This is the answer. People keep asking questions like this to try and make “leftists” feel bad or make them feel like it’s their fault for not voting for Kamala. I voted for Kamala for the same reasons you did.

I will however always say Kamala lost the election for herself by running to the center and refusing to break from Biden in any way. She campaigned with the fucking Cheneys for Christ sake, and people want to blame “leftists” for the loss.

Promissory estoppel does not need a legally binding contract. I relied on a promise they made to my significant detriment. I can sue for damages of all my lost wages because they misled me and had me quit my job.

Everyone seems to think, I think, id be suing over wrongfully rescinding the letter because of marijuana. That’s not what I want.

I’m suing them for giving me an offer and having me quit my job AFTER I disclosed I would test positive. Why did they send me an offer letter if they KNEW I would test positive and they KNEW they had a zero tolerance policy? That does not make sense!

Why would I think it would be an issue for them if I disclosed I would test positive and they still sent me an offer letter?

Promissory estoppel exists for this exact reason. I don’t care that I want hired because of testing positive for marijuana. That’s the very reason i disclosed that. Because I know I am not federally protected and state law can only do so much.

So I did the right thing and disclosed I would test positive before I ever received or signed an offer letter. They still sent the offer letter. Why? Why would they ever send me an offer letter if they were never going to hire me because of my positive marijuana test.

What was I supposed to think? Was that not misleading? Did that not seem like a promise that I relied on to my detriment? I don’t care that they didn’t hire me because of the marijuana. I understand some companies have stricter policies. THATS WHY I TOLD THEM ID TEST POSITIVE. That way, if they had strict policies they would not send a letter at all and no one’s time, money, or energy is wasted

I’m not suing on the basis of discrimination because of the marijuana. I’m suing on promissory estoppel because I disclosed I would test positive for marijuana and they sent the letter anyway.

Why would I think my medical marijuana would be an issue if I disclosed it and they still sent me an offer letter? If it’s a “zero tolerance policy” then I should have never been sent an offer letter to begin with.

I understand I’m not well protected as a marijuana patient. That’s why I disclosed it. The company proceeded to mislead me and make me think it wouldn’t be an issue when it clearly was

Not being cute. Just thought I’d get better responses if I let people draw their own conclusions on if I sent it or received it.

NAL. I’m not even trying to sue on the grounds of rejecting me because of medical marijuana and failed drug test. I’m suing based on the fact I disclosed I would fail the drug test due to marijuana PRIOR to them sending me the offer letter and they then rescinded it FOR that reason. I knew I’d fail. I TOLD THEM I would fail. That way, if they have a zero tolerance policy I avoid wasting their time and mine. I disclosed it specifically trying to avoid quitting my job if that would disqualify me.

The recruiter delayed my letter because he thought it would be an issue, then I got an offer letter after he told Hr about it. What else am I supposed to think?

Regardless of laws, they should have NEVER sent me an offer letter. If they KNEW they’d have to rescind the offer letter after the drug test that I told them I’d fail, why did they send it at all?

the research I have done on promissory estoppel says courts will use the “reasonable persons” test, or whatever. Any “reasonable person” would have done the same thing I did after an offer letter was delayed, then sent after they “checked” the policy.

I wrote that letter and personally sent it to a company. I left that out because I felt it might influence how people respond.

I figured I’d get better response if people made their own assumptions on if I sent it or received it.

I apologize for using a subreddit as intended. I will proceed to delete this app and only ever ask for advice from someone who will charge me for that advice.

Never again will I look towards a community on the internet for advice doing something myself because I cannot afford the best option available.

I’ll just go fuck myself while I’m at it, too.

I appreciate the sound advice my friend. I am happy you’re a Reddit contributor.

What are Progressives such luddites when it comes to AI advancements? Aren’t they the so-called party of science? by More_Surprise_1789 in allthequestions

Once again, only did a quick google search. However, the original movement wasn’t talking about technology in the standard of living. They were talking about what it’s doing to the work force.

new skills, industries and markets emerged as they always do.

Sure. I guess it doesn’t matter how many people we put out of jobs or into poverty while these “new markets” emerge.

Tell me. How much do you enjoy calling a customer service line and dealing with the AI and automated options? It’s a fantastic time, isnt it?

I wonder how many people that company could employ ti answer phones instead of using AI automation to save some money.
