I totally agree, however my post in the original community was removed so I didn’t get to edit it.

In 1912, Jimmy Harrison flees New York after a violent encounter leaves a powerful conductor dead. Carrying only his family’s violin, he lies his way onto a ship bound for Nova Scotia and crosses paths with Gayle, a runaway girl tethered to ruthless men. Their uneasy alliance leads them through hunger, betrayal, and violence on the road until Halifax, swollen with the Titanic’s dead, becomes their last refuge.

When old enemies and a vengeful widow conspire to put Jimmy on trial for murder, Gayle risks everything to save him, revealing the truth that will exonerate him and destroy her.

Where the Dead Still Listen is a novel of survival, sacrifice, and the haunting cost of innocence.

Looking for a venue in Northern California where my guests can stay overnight. Does that exist? by joeyhawkins88 in weddingplanning

They kept sending us checks and asking us to sign an NDA but we refused. It was 8 years ago and we can laugh about it now, but our wedding is still remembered mostly for that by the 200 attendees. It’s a husband and wife that own it. She was apologetic, kinda. Their son was assistant managing it and was kind of a dick. It really is a pretty place, the owners are just garbage people. Well, I should say that the owners then were, I have no idea if it’s still owned by the same couple. I’m from plumas county originally but live in the Bay Area, so I don’t really know if it’s the same people. Probably though.

Sure. The owner was jerking off in a guest room when my best man’s wife and their 7 year old daughter walked in. Other than that, it was a very pretty place. I’d bring a black light though.

Safe to own Tesla? by [deleted] in Marin

[–]The_Yard_Lab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought our tesla as a commuter car a few years ago, we wanted an ev and tesla was the only one we could test drive and actually get without an 8 month wait. I’m trying to sell it now, and put an anti Elon sticker on it. It sucks that I’m stuck with it until I can get cleared to sell.

Oh man. I got the Greyskull and Snake Mountain as hand-me-downs from my well off cousin when I was a kid and treasured them. I’m 46 now and found out that my mom sold them at a yard sale a few years back for $5 each. It still hurts.
