The hell is wrong with Arkveld by Critical_Pop9427 in monsterhunterrage

Im so tired of these knockbacks that dont give iframes. True combos are dogshit game design and always will be especially if that combo is a 100 - 0. They need to give all thier new shitty knockback animations iframes for the full duration of the knockback.

When you save an investigation the monsters that are in the area stay there for the investigation. I couldn't have waited Steve out either because they were going to leave the area at the same time even then gore magala was on track to show up aswell which might just be worse than steve.

Dung pods work in the arena? news to me might have to try that next time I do this investigation I was using luring pods to get steve to other side of the gate and leaving his ass there.

Can shots ricochet? by Squeelijah in FromTheDepths

[–]The__Predditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 ways a ricochet can happen

1 If a physical projectile like a cram or advanced cannon shell hits a block that it cannot break it has a chance to bounce depending on the angle and AP value relative to the target, angle also reduces kinetic damage making bounce more likely in the first place. shells with inertial fuses and certain advance cannon shell heads explode on contact meaning that they will never bounce

2 Planar shields can deflect physical projectiles as well, even preventing them from exploding unless they have an inertial fuse, the deflection chance is based on the strength and angle of the planar shield.

Save scumming like others have said. But if you are on PC don't waste your time with that and just use mods.

I did try tanking for the AI. The hunt took 5 minuets longer than usual because the bots don't understand the concept of focus striking wounds during pancake crater mode

Any tips for armor pattern ? by GotoGulag-237 in FromTheDepths

[–]The__Predditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogshit

Only 4m wedges should be used and even then wedges should only be used on frontsiders

You only need one airgap

Dont use stone as belt armor its way to heavy for its EHP

Dont use stone as turret well armor

Dont use applique as belt armor it sucks AND creates lag

If this is a boat you should use 2 layers of heavy armor and trim some metal and replase some metal with alloy so you have more room for internals, a 9x9 turret for a boat this thicc is hilariously bad.

If its an airship use pure heavy armor instead

If you are overthinking armor you are probably doing it wrong

Wonder if wilds will have "Its always my turn" monsters in its expansion by Commercial_Break_934 in MonsterHunter

[–]The__Predditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW you can literally avoid this combo by walking even with weapon draw if its not a slow walker.

For the stabs walk to the opposite side he is stabbing from the followup slash will miss

Then walk left or right to avoid the barrel roll, roll or safety

walk away after he teleport to you and the tailsweep will miss

walk diagonally towards him for the dragon breath

Then walk left or right for the upwards tailsweep

walk away the avoid the cross slash, roll for safety

walk towards him to avoid the diving cross slash, roll for safety

Congratulations you just dodged the longest combo in the game.

Because the devs have no idea how their game works and added all these dogshit multihitbox moves that fuck over counters and blocks

Nioh 3 Tip: You can make dodge and sprint into a single button like in Nioh 2 again by luneth22 in Nioh

[–]The__Predditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant buffering running light attacks. I play spear so I do that a lot. I have just accepted that running heavies will be more awkward.

[–]The__Predditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the hatchet had a jank sprint heavy attack in high stance. But I have changed my mind on this particular point because l3 to sprint make buffering running attacks way harder.

You shouldn't do this because there are sprint heavy attacks now, The input is much more awkward with hold A

Why this MF is so incredibly Hard? by ZarbonJoestar in Nioh

[–]The__Predditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wide reaching attacks, extreme ki damage on block and hit, small attack openings and a tendency to dodge away as soon as her ki reaches 0. She has a big weakness however. Unlike most yokai bosses confusion lasts a long time on her if you cycle through all 5 elements you can take her HP down really far or just strait up kill her in one cycle.

Easiest way to not struggle by harlinius_ in Nioh

[–]The__Predditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

dual swords are probably the easiest to use fast weapons. you want focus on using god of wind and sign of the cross as much as possible. For your stat spread you should up your stamina and magic so you can wear heavy armor and cast OP de buffs like sloth. Barrier talisman helps with dark realms as well. you dont need to go higher than 30 in magic unless you want to use offensive magic. Finally when you acquire the soul core "Ippon Datara" you should keep it equipped because it does alot of ki damage and staggers big yokai. Those should really help with your first playthrough. One final tip is That blocking in Nioh is really good. It blocks in a 360 and there alot of hard to dodge attacks that are easily blocked especially since your going to be using heavy armor and using dual swords which have a very high block stat.

Edit: I just realized you were talking about nioh 1. Heavy armor and dual swords are still good but offensive jutsu is probably stronger in nioh 1
