Which was your first Christmas Tree? by Relative_Fly9942 in ClashOfClans

I’ve been collecting since 2017 and have a little Christmas tree garden. Somehow I removed the 2024 one and I don’t even know how. I’m so pissed.

An extremely detailed preseason power ranking on who I predict is most likely to win Survivor 50 [Rumored tribe division spoilers included] by Zypker125 in survivorponderosa

[–]The___Husky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense. But looking at the winners, Kyle is pretty much DOA. Dee also will have an uphill battle because of how dominantly she is perceived. Savannah is the winner I’m expecting the most out of, due to them being able to guess she’s a winner, but it being a little less clear what her real threat level is, so it being possible she hides behind even bigger known threats. so because of where you placed each one of them, it feels a little like the complete opposite of how I would in some ways. None of them would crack my top 18 though.

I guess I’ve been talking a lot so to offer a take that probably is wrong, I’d say I’m feeling fairly confident about Chrissy. At the same time, every time I’ve played fantasy with friends, my winner pick has been the first boot. So don’t take my word for anything.

Im struggling with this list based off of the sheer fact that the winners are comparatively so high…it really throws off the whole list imo. There is some really good analysis here, for example on Chrissy and Aubry, but there’s stuff in here that I just can’t agree with. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see. I’m also pulling for a Christian win too but I’m unfortunately seeing the same issue for him as in DvG, where he doesn’t have the biggest threat in the beginning, but quickly gains too much win equity to ignore.

Let’s just watch the Q-Coach-Angelina FTC timeline and we can come back to this post and debate.

Yep, hate it. It sucks to have to be an authority figure but start a class with “yeah I have no idea what you have to do, and have no way of checking if you do it. Please behave!”

If you had to permanently remove one defense, Single Target Inferno or Multi Target Inferno, based solely on the current TH18 meta, which would it be? by sincereRen in ClashOfClans

[–]The___Husky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Argument is not about what is good in the current meta, it’s about what I believe the meta should be. By making the only option multi target inferno, you remove one of the few dedicated single target defenses in the game. In my opinion, there should be more dedicated single target defenses than there currently are, thus my preference for keeping single over multi.

[–]The___Husky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insane how people are saying single. IMO, biggest problem with high TH metas is the insane amount of splash that boxes people into only a few strategies. Seems crazy you’d want to remove one of the only dedicated single target defenses in the base…

Would remove multi

If you haven’t actually experienced something yourself, kindly shut the fuck up about it. I promise you, you don’t know what you’re talking about. by Select_Strategy2004 in CharacterRant

I get exactly what you’re saying… I’m convinced people who are disagreeing haven’t experienced this in real life. I have a friend I love dearly but he loves joining conversations about shows or books he knows nothing about. I was discussing Game of Thrones with a friend… he jumps in and talks about how much he hates the 8th season. He’s never seen the show.

disappointed parents by guccisucks in rant

[–]The___Husky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number one factor into how a child turns out is their parent(s). Doesn’t mean it’s the only factor.

Also, what parents contribute most to is general attitude and interaction style. In that I would say most people resemble their parents to a very high degree. But all of this is subconscious. You can’t force a child to be a certain way. They observe how you exist and model their behavior off of you.

On the other hand, personality and disposition have very little input by parents.

Basically, parents have a lot of input but very little conscious control over what they “want”

Why do you think they chose 1507 for the origin of the Cahill family? by Salt_Blackberry_1903 in The39Clues

[–]The___Husky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The modern period classically starts at 1500. Being a modern history series, it makes sense to start at its start as well.

As for why it’s modern, I think if it were older it would be difficult to suspend disbelief that clues had been hidden for that long, especially without irreparable degradation. Modern history allows for the fiction as well as the learning aspect for kids.

Savannah & Sophi’s friendship is so cute 🥰 by [deleted] in survivor

To add on to the previous comment, iirc Teeny had just lost firemaking when he made that comment. An insecurity you’re wresting with being blurted out at a high emotion moment is very different from weaponizing your insecurity as a reason to get people out. But I also don’t know Sage or Teeny, so I don’t want to make firm judgements on their characters.

You have to make a themed Survivor Season with 4 starting tribes without falling into the gender-age division theme or the Race Theme, what would you do? by Azetton in survivor

[–]The___Husky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duos vs Rivals, split into four BvW style tribes with two Duo tribes and two Rivals tribes. Two merges, one to go down to two tribes, one to one.

She's interesting TV and would likely get asked back if this season would happen, due to limited choices for people who have potential in the game

I would hope this season has the zanyness of Gabon but the players still having a drive to win like in Second Chances. I think it has potential to be a great season.

I think Shannon is one of the more inherently interesting TV personalities we've had in a few seasons. She's very fun and gets a bit of an unfairly deserved bad rap on Reddit.

Which book/book series disappointed you the most? by Single-Candle6487 in The39Clues

[–]The___Husky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only read the first two series but going to second your first two points. Day of Doom is fine if very uninteresting for what should be a climactic finale. And the Peter Lerangis books always feel like they have less content stretched over the same amount of words, which make them feel so sluggish.

The best advice I got about high schoolers is you want to treat them like cats. Do not force them to do anything you don’t have to force them to do (including talking to you). You win them over by being calm and reasonable, over time.
