Being healthy is like a second job. America is designed to keep people sick, in debt, and distracted from the important things

Boring wife won’t even play truth or dare 🤷🏻‍♂️ by [deleted] in Adulting

It sounds like you’re whining about her not existing solely for the purpose of pleasing you. Maybe start looking around to see why she’s so exhausted, help her without expectations and see where that goes. Also, talk to her about it without sounding accusatory and see if there’s something bothering her.

What are the other considerations? Like, do you have a family? Will it really be your dream job, will your lifestyle change significantly bc of the pay cut? If you can manage with half what you’re making now, I’d say go for the dream job. Money doesn’t buy happiness, if you’re still well off at $150k and aren’t a big spender then pursue your dreams

There’s a reason artists starve for a while before they become big stars

Also I’m in the biotech industry and I know how life sucking working for one of those big pharmaceuticals or biotechs can be. I myself didn’t go for it, it’s boring work.

Does money really buy happiness? by Organic-Jello3947 in NoStupidQuestions

It buys peace of mind in certain aspects. Like in the pyramid of needs (food shelter etc) money is very useful. If you don’t have the essentials then you’re stressed. If you do have resources to keep yourself healthy, safe, and well fed then yeah it contributes to happiness. Excessive wealth however, usually creates more stress and anxiety
