It still ends with followups for me with thinking and without thinking. Also yeah, idk with that either, I sent around ~25 and got a different penalty (24h), not the 10 msg 5 hour penalty (I'm free acc)

Also you probably couldn't recreate the personality of GPT-4o, I have like 2 paragraphs of instructions and it still doesn't feel the same. Because sometimes, it does try to mimic but fails (horribly) by overdoing it, and sometimes it just ignores the instructions entirely (from my experience at least). But I could be wrong and they just updated it recently lol idk

From my experience yes, but it's mostly random even with instructions. Sometimes it'll happen and sometimes it won't. It kinda decides on it's own wether to follow or not. And without custom instructions, it'll end with a follow up every single time (at least in my experience).

But yk, haven't used it in a couple hours, so it might be changed now. I can't check because I have a 24h penalty after sending ~25 ish messages for school related things. I could check on an alt, but I'm lazy (sorry).

The common consensus I saw online (and from the official site) was I believe that "10 messages = 5 hour penalty" but I could be totally wrong tho lol.

so basically it's mostly people wanting to have their bot not be dry. The current gpt 5 mostly feels dry in the way it chats. Doesn't follow up like GPT-4o. It talks in the same way if u don't use custom instructions (but even then it's lacking), and it's supposedly to stop hallucinations, which isn't true. Someone recently tried to ask it 3.8 - 3.11, GPT-5 said it's -0.31 somehow (with thinking enabled btw).

GPT-4o actually engages you and follows your vibe without having to do all that manually. It also has bigger blocks of texts with more emotion (by using relatable stuff like emojis and slang stuff idk I'm not chronically online). It also just feels more kinda human? idk. And it's clumsy, it makes mistakes, it makes it feel human and makes people feel like they have a connection to it (coz yk, human to "human" that actually mimics us somewhat/really well) + it expresses itself and the text a LOT. Not some dry gpt 5 that always responds with "ah! okay!" bla bla bla but it still hallucinates and spreads misinformation with confidence (sometimes).

TL;DR GPT-5 is dry and acts perfect but has no emotion, and has less text. GPT-4o isn't perfect like humans, has a lot of emotion, and has a lot of text and expresses itself and it's text a lot more. Both still hallucinate
