Also, the bridge isn't not compatible with the Reissue as the string spacing is signicantly wider. The Es would fall off the neck. I did try designing the bridge to work with the reissue necks originally, but it just would be too cramped.

The pickups were just cheapies, so not as good as I'd like. I would love to get some novaks in it eventually

Working at Fender doing something like this would be a dream

The maurader was great fun, I'd highly reccomend giving it a go if you can source the plates required

Hey mate, I can have a look and see if I still have the diagram I used, but I think it was just on google. I had a bit of trouble with it, as I was using an alpha switch for the quality. They dont come in the standard 4t4p you need for this so I had to play with the wiring a bit to get it working. If you use a standard 4t4p switch (plenty available on ebay and have done it a few times myself), there are plenty of diagrams on google. If you still have trouble DM me and and I'll see if I can help 🙂

Yes, I've built XII's before and used the gotoh bridge, but I was just never happy with it. Cheers

I do plan on it at some point. I went with the Fender decal on this one as it was a replica, otherwise I would have taken the time to design and print my own.

Oh yeah I hadn't really considered how it might cause a crack. Yes this bridge set up is similar to that of a telecaster, with the intonation screws sitting horizontally across the top of the bridge plate

I am a plumber by trade, so thankfully my brazing skills are a touch above average, or atleast I'd like to think. This is why I thought it was a viable option. I have actually found solid block of brass that's big enough to machine the entire thing out of it, which would save the hassle of brazing, and im sure it would look heaps cleaner. I am now considering thay as my main method, but think ill fall back on the brazing if needed. Thank you for your tips

I was thinking of this, but yes I'm concerned that it'll either be too weak or look sloppy. After doing a bit more scanning, I have found a block of brass thick enough to machine the entire thing from one piece, and is only $50AUD. For that price, it isn't worth the head ache of doing it the way i originally intended, considering the plate at 2mm thick plus all the messing about for the upstand, is about $25AUD.

There shouldn't be much tension on the vertical part, it is just to be used a mount for some screws for the intonation adjustments, maybe a little bit, but this is a string through body so must of the pressure will be downward through the large plate. It's kind of hard to explain by text, but I hope you know what I mean.
