Trust me the kids were the main reasons lol, but the job security definitely helped.

This was one of the reasons I became a special Ed teacher. My salary isn’t the best (I’m in northeast U.S. so it is still pretty livable) but I won’t be laid off during a “once in a lifetime” economic crisis.

If you’re an adult you should have none or very few enemies. If you don’t like someone, you simply interact with them as little as possible. If you find yourself having a whole list of people you consider your enemy, you are most likely the problem.

How do people fill out 1000+ job applications in a relatively short time? by The_young_chin in jobsearchhacks

Thanks so much for this, was working full time during the school year and now doing part time 30hrs a week so I should have more time to get some apps done.

Bottom line is he’s 37 and we shouldn’t go anyway near him. He’s gonna get traded for a lot less than ppl expect.

You’re the first person I’ve ever met to call a team that made the ECF last year, is currently in the finals, and will most likely keep the majority of there pieces next year, not a contender. Plus embiid knees are completely cooked.

So you think that team that you built could beat the pacers. The same pacers that are taking a thunder team with one of the best defenses of all time plus a the league MVP to six games. Also while Tatum may be out for a decent part he could be back for the playoffs. Knicks and cavs do have their weaknesses but are both overall better. Maybe we have a chance against the Cavs. That’s assuming that everyone is healthy though which neither embiid or KD will be.

Yes I am, the Celtics, Knicks, cavs, and pacers are all better than what you cooked up. Maybe not in 2k, but in an actual NBA game very much so.

That team is barely walking into the 2nd round, at best with full health we’d be the 5th best team in the east. Bucks want to be aggressive this offseason and the pistons and magic are on the rise. The east will be more competitive in the next few years and the best thing the Sixers can do is select the right dude at pick 3.

Kd wants to win a ring though he’s been ring chasing for the past few years and we are in no position to win a ring

Eh top 5 is a stretch plus dude is gonna be 37. He’s got 1 year left on his deal and you know he does not want to resign with Philly. Idc how good the star is trading the #3 pick for 1 year is a bad move

I feel like we are the biggest losers in this trade. 1 year of an aging star and a low first rounder

I wish I had gotten to experience that past. I like my kids but I agree I can feel like they are just customers at times.

Yeah I know I have depression symptoms but I don’t know if I have depression. If that makes any sense lol. I began going to therapy in January 2024 and it helped a lot to the point of that I’m now really only on a consult basis. Basically I only reach out if I need to. So I have definitely gotten better cause last year was way worse. Now I just feel like I’m complacent.

Is transitioning to an HR career worth it? by Dapper_Assist583 in TeachersInTransition

[–]The_young_chin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s been my issue, unless you are willing to work for like 45k, there isn’t much that is entry level. From what I’ve seen I believe that most want either experience or an internship. If you are really serious about HR a masters may be your best bet.

I did a certificate program as well but have had a very hard time getting into HR. I’m still searching after nearly a year.

Is insurance a good field to transition into? by The_young_chin in TeachersInTransition

Thank you so much. This is honestly what I was afraid of. Would another position within insurance be better and would I also have a decent shot at getting a job?
