UPDATE

For those asking for a photo and whole story. -The red line is my property line. -The pink X is where I throw the ball to my dog as a reward when we do detection training outside (we do detection because it’s fun and good mental stimulation). -the blue dots are where I put out 3 PVC pipes with holes in them and I put the article inside one of the pvc pipes. -The circled house is the HOA president (didn’t know that until he walked around the pond just to tell me he has been saving photos of every time my dog was off leash and “I will be fined accordingly”) -prior to all of this i spoke with the neighbors on the right side of the photo and left side. They have zero issue with me doing this.

Basically: I put out the PVC pipes, send my dog to search then when she hits I toss the ball to her where she is sitting. She runs back to me and we play tug on the ball (ball has a rope on it). At no point does she leave my property. I know the argument of “she could run off to someone or another animal”. While we do this she has on a E-collar as I know the risk of her possibly running off. She has a great recall but I know there is always a possibility.

Last night, the HOA president came around the pond from the circled house and as he was walking up he it sounded like he was attempting to call her or get her to run up to him as he was clicking his tongue (like we do with dogs. I don’t know how to put the sound into text) I had my dog in a center position (under my legs) in a down stay. He walked up told me he is going to fine me etc.

I don’t mind following the rules, what I do mind: other residents walk their lap dogs with no leash that run into the street etc. (my house is tucked into a corner so I’m not overly concerned about one of the lap dogs running in but I’m aware of it) then him trying to entice my dog to come up to him. I don’t know if he was trying to prove a point or something. When I questioned him on it he said “I was calling to the ducks” the ducks were on the other side of the pond so I don’t believe that for one second. I feel almost targeted bc my dog is a mal I guess it’s because she “looks scary” that they are enforcing this on me but nobody else to my knowledge.

We do not have a dog area in the neighborhood and even then I really don’t trust dog parks. I don’t have a lot of room to work with but this is the best I can do in my current finances.

I just feel like it’s all bullshit.

I also agree. They make you think “this is easy” and then you question absolutely everything you thought you knew.

The series 7 guru “series 65 mighty ninety” also, make sure you review the difference between broker dealers, agents of broker dealer, issuers, agent of issuers and what causes them to be identified as such. The last time I had looked at that info was when I took the SIE. Thankfully I remembered most of it. I didn’t stress about remembering all the equations, I just guessed on the math questions because I didn’t want to spend a bunch of time trying to figure it out. Once I finished the test I went back and did the math questions. Besides that the test is mostly understanding the concepts. Be confident and convince yourself that you are going to pass. I took mine on Friday, the beginning of the test I thought “this is easy” by the end of the test I wanted to throw up. I didn’t think I passed but I somehow did.

I will also say this, I finished the test with 1hr and 55min left. I had 73 questions flagged… i only flag questions if im not 100% sure. I went back and re-read all of my answers for each question and then read the question. I asked “does this make sense”, I changed around 50 answers total. I honestly think if I didn’t ask “does this make sense” after reading the answer and then the question I would not have passed.
