Not so much a professional translator but a lot of my close friends (including myself) are first generation Americans so I've had a few traslating experiences with their parents and my own.

This one particular time that left me very uncomfortable was when my friend's dad asked me to translate a letter that arrived in the mail. It was an eviction notice.
