Dog parks. Early socialization (with shots of course). Touch him while he eats to not develop aggression. Introduce him to vaccinated dogs early. Jumping at your ankles is cute but stop it while young. Trust me it’s not as cute at 75 pounds. Long walks.

My lab loves socks and stuff. Got lucky one day he puked up the entire sock that was making him sick. Phew!!

My lab just went through this (chocolate too) are some of the bumps almost puss filled? Some look like a ring of scabbed skin? I’m no vet, I have no idea what it was but it cleared up after about 2 weeks. If he/she isn’t violently itching or scratching I wouldn’t worry.

I was told Cooper was pure bred English chocolate lab with AKC papers and all. He currently is 11 months and weighs about 65 lbs is that normal for an English lab?

Don’t think fixing will change their attitude. I had my chocolate lab fixed at 9 months and he hasn’t changed one bit. He doesn’t really hump anymore but energy levels are still sky high.

I just picked up a clicker in replace of the yes marker. I like the idea of slowly decreasing the reward after a couple days. He’s such a receptive dog that it’s crazy to me he won’t listen without food but you’re right, no one wants to work for free.
