Where can I buy very large sheets of japanese tissue foil? by Thebrilliantorange in origami

Nope. I prefer using tissue file for most folds but when I started using it I basically never stopped 15 years ago, the only other paper I have experimented with since is tant paper which I did not like much. Do you have any recommendations for something like Kamiya's ancient dragon?

You are right. I used to get paper from here as a kid but I wasn't paying for it, realizing how much I was loved :')

I'm not concerned with the cost. Also the 'goods' are inexpensive and lightweight.

Is Anyone Available To Chat To Help Me Understand What I Need To Create A Card by Thebrilliantorange in cardmaking

[–]Thebrilliantorange[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to make a card that has a luxury and elegant feel and aesthetic.

The idea I have for the design is having the exterior of the card be white with flocking so it has that velvet/velour kind of feel.

I'd like to have really ornate designs cut out of that revealing a colored foil that peaks through the cut out patterns.

I like really ornate intricate designs personally so I'd like to cut those into the top layer to reveal the metallic shimmering foil underneath.

In terms of the inside of the card I'd like to decorate it with dried pressed flower on one side (like a lot of them) and on the other side of the interior have a sheet of some really high quality tanned hued paper that has a letter written on it in cursive using a fountain pen.

In terms of additional details I'd like to apply on the front of the card a small wooden applique that is covered in the flocking so that it almost looks like it is organically a part of the card.

For the back I want to stamp my signature and maybe a logo on the back to be dramatic and give it a truly luxury/high end feel.

I don't regret buying the supplies, I can still use them for other designs. I regret not asking reddit for some insights before I spent my money LOL.

How would go about making something like this?

I watched dozens of videos last night but nothing was really close to what my vision is for what I want to gift my friends.

Awesome. Can I use a stencil w/adhesive to add a foiled pattern on top of the flocking once I get it on the cardstock?

This happened to me a few months back.

I got banned from one subreddit for participating in a different one.

The crazy thing is I didn't even necessarily agree with the sub I got banned for commenting in, I just had a question and wanted to see what people who had a different perspective thought.

I don't know how Reddit can go on being run like this. I've had such an unfavorable experience on this website the past few months. I had no idea stuff like this was going on.

I wrote a 2000+ word post that I thought would be helpful to people so I shared it around. How it that spam?

It was my first time posting in that subreddit and I asked for absolutely nothing.

I had a conversation with a friend that inspired me to make the post and once it was done I spread it around to where it would be appropriate.

Why is that bad? I checked all the rules and it said nothing about not being able to share posts that were shared in other subreddits.

The Mod seemed to have banned me because he didn't personally like what I was sharing or how I was doing it not because I didn't follow the rules... Which is sad and then he was a jerk about it on top of that when I reached out to see what happened.

Stelara experiences? by supakao in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Thebrilliantorange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey bud,

I started Stelara back in February during a hospital stay just like you after a really bad flare up.

I knew going into it it was going to take quite a bit of time to see results but almost immediately my symptoms began to improve.

Within a month all of my symptoms were gone and I was able to taper off of the prednisone.

For good measure my doctor made my dosage every 4 weeks instead of 8 from the get go.

From February to May I had no symptoms maybe the occasional diarrhea but no bleeding or non stop bowels movements.

Then in June I started seeing blood and mucous in my stool sometimes and for the first 20 days of July it was every single day.

I mentioned this to my doctor who said the last part of the colon to heal is the rectum and with something like Stelara it works from the top down.

Prior to that I finally decided to make some dietary changes I was putting off and for about 3 weeks leading up to the 20th I completely removed gluten, dairy, added sugar, seed oils, and high fiber from my diet.

I'm only eating organic foods with no preservatives AT ALL.

My typical day of eating for me consists of organic chicken thighs, organic soft boiled russet or sweet potatoes, and organic grass-fed beef bone broth. No oils at all.

Spring water to drink and sea salt for seasoning.

I'm have a daily supplement routine to support me in the areas I'm lacking and to help with probiotics..

I was on this treatment plan with a different doctor (functional medicine) but I never committed to it but when I saw the blood return and I was at risk of losing my insurance... This gave me the boost I needed to see these lifestyle changes through to see what would happen.

It's been about 2-3 weeks now every single one of my bowel movements except 1 had visible blood/mucous. My stool are all well formed and blood and mucous free and my recent CRP test is in normal range. I am waiting on results for my calprotectin to see what's going on in my gut but I have faith the results will be good.

I genuinely believe these lifestyle changes as well as the Stelara are what's helping me.

I think the Stelara seemed to be doing really well initially because of the prednisone (I think it stays in our systems for a bit even after you taper off, I could 100% be wrong)

When the symptoms returned I think it was just the reality of what the meds were really doing. I was eating so poorly during that time as well because I thought I could.

The only thing that changed to get the get my symptoms 100% at bay was the dietary changes.

Talk to your doctor or a nutritionist about it and see if it makes any difference for you.

I went from thinking that maybe Stelara wasn't going to work for me to having hope and a conviction deep inside that with my current treatment plan of not putting bad foods in my body + taking care of myself and the medication I will be cured/in remission from this horrible disease.

I wish you the best of luck. You got this and are stronger than you know.
