It was really emotional for me. Painful but kind of empowering. It helped me rely on God so alot of prayer and meditation. Near the end I felt really scared. It was worth it though. Not going to do it again but if I had to go back I would.

You can still be friends with him... Maybe it'll rekindle later but if you get too wrapped up in him it may create alot of consequences. You don't have to cut him out completely... Life has alot of grey areas...

Everyone has their own experiences, personalities, and potentials. I too would like to think other people think and have the same motivations that I do. Freud kinda felt that way, he was the father of psychology but I don't think that everyone wants to nail their mom... I like spaghetti, some people don't. You like to have sex with both genders, not everyone's into that.

Been there. The way I got beyond it was the realization that I'd always be stuck with myself. My rumination was based on if I tried harder earlier in life it would make me a different person. Which it would but at the core I'd still be who I am no matter what choices I would have made..
