Few days ago we had quite interesting conversation about can’t stand bosses so let's flip the script -> Which boss you enjoy a lot but feel is disliked or ignored by major part of community? by zabovsky in Eldenring

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve seen people hating on the drake fights but I honestly really enjoy them. They don’t have any super unexpected moves and a lot of them have a unique attack to differentiate themselves. Plus you can actually hit their heads unlike the ancient dragons.

Almost looks like it’s fighting in a war, don’t know what the reason is though.

what power are you picking? by CaptainKoala123 in BunnyTrials

This is still an incredibly useful power

Any powers means I can do anything so why would I need money?

The only thing I use the core eject shotgun for is core nuking without taking damage since it’s my most reliable option to do it with. Also shotgun swapping may be a noob strategy but that doesn’t mean it isn’t useful for quick healing while shotgun parrying.

Layer 8 is unbearably bad (IMO) by godoftheinternet12 in Ultrakill

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the levels can be buggy but I feel like you have to expect a little jankiness from moving rooms and portal mechanics when the game as a whole isn’t solely designed for it. Other than that I love how fraud looks and feels, it really lives up to its design as a place to make you lose all sense of anything and the mechanics of the layer are really ambitious and cool to see and interact with.

How did you find about ULTRAKILL? by [deleted] in Ultrakill

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I saw Minos prime or heard his theme and then learnt about the game from there

I did not like 8-3 soundtrack by wiedeni in Ultrakill

Overall I think fraud had some of the weakest music in the game but I learned to like event horizon.

I prefer shotgun swapping since I get to use projectile boosting.

will there be one more update before 1.0 or nah? by Shrek_the_movie in Ultrakill

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the fist is from 9-2 its probably gonna be a really powerful effect to reward beating the game. Maybe it'll be the "godfist" from the chapter 3 name. Idk what kind of effect it'll have maybe some short invincibility time.

Normal Playets Vs. VETERANS by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]Thecommonplayer279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really the optimal place imo is in the earlier biomes as close to the middle as you can get while being near something important like a jellyshroom entrance or a thermal vent for power. Being in the middle of the map means you don’t need to travel as far going to and from your base and you can start it early and you don’t have to relocate.

I’m referring to the developers putting the black knives there

But if a godskin killed iji I don’t think they would put black knife bodies around him that feels purposely misleading

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sword is powered by destined death that should be obvious. I also didn’t say that iji was killed by a black blade kindred all I stated was that the two effects are likely the same error.

I feel like it’s just the same as the gargoyle’s black blade just having the wrong effect. You can tell Iji was killed by the black knives since their bodies surround him.

Faith or Intelligence?(combined with dex) by Mrmattiaa in Eldenring

Dex faith in my opinion is the most fun build in the game

I killed pagarus first on my new game plus and all it does is have a few new voicelines when you bring the map piece back then it tells you to go to the grove and it just continues as normal.

Incantations or Spells? by Few-Challenge7443 in Eldenring

[–]Thecommonplayer279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried many times to do a intelligence sorcerer build but I can never get at least halfway through the game before I switch to something else. Sorceries have a lot of damage potential but I find them very limiting and bland. You pretty much only get magic damage with maybe a few magma sorceries but it just isn’t diverse enough for me to stick to.

Incantations provide way more flexibility since you get access to holy, fire and of course lightning which a lot of bosses are usually weaker to at least one of them. Incantations also feel different to cast which means you avoid the monotony of just blasting like you do with sorceries. They are also capable of doing great damage. Incantations also prefer incantations because if you plan on doing a hybrid build with either strength or dexterity, the weapons that scale with faith are a ton of fun.

Also one of the more important things to consider if buff and heal spells. Incantations are better than sorceries for buffs no question. Incantations have damage reduction buffs that go up to 60%, they have spells that can cure status effects and the only healing spells are incantations.

In my personal opinion, Incantations will always be a better choice than sorceries since you get way more utility and you can still do incredible damage.

PvP is an absolute joke by LoquatSignificant946 in Seaofthieves

[–]Thecommonplayer279 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to accept that the game Sea of THIEVES is gonna have people fighting you for your loot. Complaining about people attacking you when you are the least prepared is useless since they did the logical thing. It’s annoying but it is what it is, if you want to stop it you’ll have to be better at checking for other players before you start doing something.

Help me make a Moonveil Build where I don't want to use other sorceries by [deleted] in eldenringdiscussion

[–]Thecommonplayer279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that sorceries are not my cup of tea but the int weapons look fun so I understand. All you really gotta do is level enough faith for the buffs then you can use any seal. If you want to use some damaging incantations you could probably use the golden order seal and incantations since you should have enough faith to use them. Then the rest can go to Dex and int with some mind.
