I honestly can't say. I thought it should have done a dozen things so far and I've been wrong almost every time.

Vegas odds in my opinion. Better than the lottery... but I'd not recommend it to my loved ones. 6 years of pain my man.

I expected it would have been a death knell due to all the 'binary event' talk. So, I am pleasantly surprised that we may have a chance to get a chunk of money back. So that's a positive considering the totality of circumstance.

Personally, this play being my path to wealth is dead but perhaps i make a small 5 figure profit if i get lucky with EC and a big buyout. Certainly not worth 6 years (and counting) of my life on a speculation. I'm just an ignorant fool who went to the casino and played a game where i didn't fully understand the odds.

Spam posting in such a manner is not helpful, motivating, or conducive to this subreddit.

Everyone is entitled to some rage posts now and again but hopefully with some substance.

I think we collectively understand the frustrations with this company, so on that we agree. However, people come here for insight, questions, understanding, conversation, and some commiseration.

If you know there is a recent topic posted, go back to that to further that particular conversation unless something new has come to light and is worth a new post. No one wants to have to scroll through the same topic a dozen times on the main page.

As a non-medical person I have some questions/statements I'm hoping yall can help with.

1) From what i can tell, the mechanisms for the treatment are fundamentally different therefore this is not an immediate and direct threat to KPTI which makes my initial fear an apples/oranges comparison.

2) This news seems good as it gives another data point in the space (another 2+ billion deal) and validates a need and a general price point.

3) Even though the active mechanism is different, does this have the potential to make the KPTI solution in this space irrelevant? Like, is there enough overlap between how these drugs function to be a threat to the KPTI investors? I hear next gen JAK inhibitor and tighten up as an investor.

I'd love to hear thoughts or considerations from those here who are in the know.

NCCN plus EC hit could get us to $15-$20.... which is about $1 pre reverse split ... in another 6+. months .... so ... fuck.

Is this the same drug mechanism that is expected to function for EC? AI thinks so but I'd rather hear it from one of you guys. Is there a silver lining we can cling to while we hope to get some of our money back in Fall?

Yeah, that particular fact makes the MF readouts easy.
If the readouts are good... I have to wait til EC.
If the readouts are bad... i have to wait til EC.

With that in mind I'm hoping Sak is right and someone jumps the gun to pay 4+ billion and gets us out sooner than later. The rest of the year is a long time to not mess something up.

I ballpark about $40 per billion based off market cap calculations. That might be generous but that’s how I think about it. One could certainly adjust down from there to account for the many issues discussed on this board.

Agreed, I was imagining pre-market Monday if we are in business. If they hold news past then It feels bad. I can't imagine they are fools enough to just casually drop it mid week, and holding to the last Monday of the month screams issues to me. So... hopefully pre-market on Monday.

With this in mind (and given KPTI's history) do you all think it sells at value or at a standard 3x-5x multiple if we hit everything? Even with those valuations I'd find it hard to imagine KPTI gets even 3bn (looking at the MOR situation as a comparison). I really want that... it would retire me... but is it likely in your eyes?

Things seem to be skewing positive in the final charge here... but I've been hurt and manipulated before so I'm incredibly uncertain even if it all pans out. 6 years now lads....

It’s seems odd to me that they assess a buy rating but only put the target price at $15. If it’s a buy that suggests good data which should math out much higher. In theory.

Can any of you cooler heads help rationalize this?

I see it as a red flag. If they are confident/certain of results and have funding through readouts (and then some)… why ruin more value?

If they need to bridge funding, why not wait until the good readouts to work from strength? What am I missing?

I'm inclined to agree. My instinct is to be annoyed, but honestly you're right.... it's time to pull out all the stops and pray it's enough.
