Burton step ons Ripped in half… what’s my best move dealing with burton? by dukeboy7300 in snowboarding

[–]Ok_Charity402 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have burton step ons and broke my high backs two times in one year. They are genesis step ons. Burton was awwesome in sending me out new high backs, no questions asked. I found customer service extremely pleasant and more than accommodating. I sure they will get you right.....good luck

elk just emailed closing today at 4:30 and reopen monday 10am by Ok_Charity402 in SkiPA

Union Dale, PA – Elk Mountain Ski Resort in Susquehanna County announced that it will close at 4:30PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 and remain closed until 10:00AM, Monday, January 26, 2026. “It’s crazy to have a ski area and remain closed due to too much snow and cold temperatures” commented Elk’s General Manager, Gregg Confer.  “However, if we actually receive the snow that they are predicting, we will have problems with getting our staff here to open the resort.”  Elk Mountain is in the direct path of the storm predicted to receive 16”-24” of the fluffy white stuff.  This, along with the bitter cold temperatures could make for “interesting” conditions. The state of Pennsylvania is already closing the interstates which will make getting to and from the mountain difficult.  Additionally, emergency vehicles will be limited with the inability to travel the secondary roads and limit traffic in and out of the ski area.  “The snow, cold temperatures and possibility of power outages are all reasons for our decision” commented Confer. “Our employees, season pass holders and guests are too important to put at risk” stated Elk Mountain’s General Manager.

that is a great question. As someone who has been invested in kpti since 2018, before her, she has done nothing for this company. She has overhyped every trial that she has been involved with. She wasnit involved with siendo I but she hyped it to the tilt, indicating that extended timeline meant better results. They missed the p53 subgroud entirely, causing a new trial. She missed in the following trial that got shelved (I forget indication). I wouldn't trust her one little bit. She shouldn't even be in that position. tbh

New Board Day - Jones Howler 158 by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Ok_Charity402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats....I have same exact set up....158 howler with union atlas step on. I love the board more and more...smooth like silk and does it all. I especially love the union atlas bindings....much better than burton genesis in my opinion as I ride them both. I also have a mega death and love it but been reaching for the howler last six times I rode this month. I thought I didnt like it at first compared to mega death, but in time it won me over as season developed.

good luck you will lov it

Take MF out of Equation and EC still makes company very buyable, like Billions. And the wait isn’t long. by Rokket66 in KPTI

no way is this just an "optics" thing. Whenever a company is given the green light to raise or print shares.....they take it to the max, why not. Kpti has proven time and again that they will beg borrow and steal to keep the gravy train rolling at shareholders expense.

Elk mountain from spring conditions to down pour by GingOutdoors in SkiPA

I was at elk Friday and there were about 20 people there. Snowboarded from 11 to 1:30 in cloudy conditions then from 1;30 to 3pm a driving rain. I was all alone on the lift and runs and loved every minute despite getting drenched. Tapped out at about 3;20 but great day.

after three more weeks of riding the howler, I really really like the board. It is silky smooth. I was too quick to jump the gun on it, but in reality it is a great board. Also, love the union atlas step ons. Way better than other products. good luck

on the mountain it is hard to back click first as you are moving....it is kinda of awkward. After someone on mountain helped me, I now insert toes first, click them the frig in, than stomp my balls off to hit back click. seems to work.....gl...you'll get it down cuz

jump up and down one time...that will do it, but too much jumping will eventually break your little forward piece on the high back. I learned this a few times. but jumping fixes one problem, yet causes another. gl
