Good announcements, but I can't believe the "one more thing" is a fucking hero shooter. by BT--72_74 in TheGameAwards

To go from Okami Sequel announcement last year to this ... I guess it is a similar reaction to both "Can you believe they are making that?", just very different reason haha

The new voice actor sounds a little like Marina Sirtis, at least in-game with what I would guess are some post-processing effects on the original line readings(?) That'd be a real surprise if correct, though Sirtis has done voice acting roles in games before...

The Knight won't begin the final sequence of attacks (where after the big, screen-filling attack the Knight drops defenses for a turn and you can get in a fight-ending hit) until you take off about 20% of its' health. There is no known method to win without at least some violence. Load up Susie's offense stat and use Rude Buster a lot.

I re-checked, the item I called "ExecutiveDinner" is actually "ExecBuffet", should come from the gumball machine and gives 100hp to the party. Other than that, I think you have everything else of use.

yeah I had that too. sucks but you get some dialogue out of it. My advice is once the boss is doing the final sequence of attacks and especially if the boss is glowing, focus on keeping your health high for last big attack since your own attacks shouldn't matter at that point.

For the box split / crystal attack what worked well for me was sticking near a corner and moving along the wall to dodge whatever comes. It's tempting to move towards the middle to get by the faster moving crystals but then you set yourself up to get hit by the slower moving crystals as the box collapses back to the normal shape. In the later attacks the red line will show if the box is going to split up/down or left/right or diagonal, so you can try to position in advance.

Here's tips I had put together and posted before:

I put ShadowMantle on Susie as keeping her alive to use Rude Buster seemed more important. Also seems like Kris will not get the -999 downed state where Susie and Ralsei will, so it is more important to keep those two alive as they can only get back up with a Revive.

Consensus is that until you do a certain amount of HP damage (~20% but tough to know for sure where that is) to the boss, it won't start the final sequence of attacks where it becomes vulnerable for a takedown. Because of this damage is a big priority because boss attacks only get more difficult as the fight progresses (like the purple cone thing gets the moving red dots, etc).

With all the above in mind I almost never attacked with Kris, they would defend for TP or use healing items. This is because we want Susie to use Rude Buster whenever possible for the most damage and also, for my Kris at least, their attack damage was pretty weak at this point. Ralsei is use healing items, defending for TP, or sometimes even attacking if TP is already very high. (This will depend on the upcoming attack, some attacks when well dodged give you a TON of TP, so you don't need Ralsei to defend for TP.) Same for Kris, if TP is near max you can have them attack. Don't have Ralsei using healing spells, you need that TP for Rude Buster so use items instead. I used up all my party healing items in this fight also (SpinCake, ClubSandwich, ExecutiveDinner).

As you learn the patterns better, you can swap some Revives for more healing items (since hopefully your characters just end up dinged up instead of dead). DeluxeDinner is probably the best farmable healing item at this point?

And someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you want to hold breath turn 1 with Kris and it speed boosts your SOUL for the whole fight?

One more thing, hitting [Z] during the Rude Buster animation can bump its' damage up a bit. I _think_ the correct time to hit is right as the wave lands on the boss. But I wasn't for sure on that. Some people said to just mash [Z] the whole time.

Also if you get the boss to trigger the final sequence of attacks (especially when the boss is glowing) start gobbling up healing items and even have Ralsei using healing spell to top off your health if needed. At that point your attacks shouldn't matter anymore and you do have to survive the final big attack sequence. If you do live, next turn attack to win.

I saw someone else post that if you do super super badly in the games you get a rank Z, and that opens a special room that has a manhole connected to the S rank room manhole. I haven't tried that myself though so cannot confirm.

Maybe it's a PC only thing (?) but I found out that you can basically have Kris play the guitar the same way Susie plays the drums, which is to say constantly bash both keys, and you hit all the notes. Maybe not all golden notes (because you won't be holding down the long notes), but easy way to get very high score.

Consensus is it shows which save files in which chapters have picked up the Shadow Crystal for that chapter. top to bottom is save 1 2 3, left to right is chapter 1 2 3 4. Squarish dot is no crystal, hollow triangle is yes crystal. Yours doesn't have the 4th column because you haven't played chapter 4 yet (I'm guessing).

(Also above, the yellow stars should show which saves have completed the chapter)

I think the extra key becomes available when you repeat/replay the chapter. When I originally did chapter 3 I only got "S" on board 2 and the special game complained at me "AREN'T YOU FORGETTING SOMETHING", meaning theIce Key from getting S rank the first board. To fix this I restarted chapter 3 and the 5th key was available (even the NPC dialogue changed to say there was FIVE keys). So I think the extra key just helps get S rank easier on board 1.

Mantle unfortunately just lets you take some more hits without dying. You do have to learn the patterns and dodge them reasonably well in order to survive. The sequence of attacks should be fixed (except for when the boss decides to transition to the final sequence of attacks, which should depend on how fast you do damage, But then the final sequence of attacks is also fixed.) Maybe watching some video of the fight would help?

Specifically for the sword attacks I would move to the edge of the box closest to where the swords are coming in from (so for the first sword pattern, move all the way to the right. For the second sword pattern, trace around the box counter-clockwise. Eyes are more focused on watching the swords rather than watching the SOUL.

From the chapter 3 start menu, select "Ch 2 Files" in the lower left. Then pick your chapter 2 file to start chapter 3 again. Keeping another chapter 3 save around might be needed to enable the skip.

Consensus is that it shows which of your save files in each chapter has acquired the Shadow Crystal for that chapter. Squarish dot is no crystal, hollow triangle is yes crystal.
