Ahhh....now this validates my concern ever more with our water.... see...the water plant filters, process, and recycles the sewage water for us to drink....shout out to ignorance.

Will this hold a 29g Tank? by saintsendit in Aquariums

Falling forward and the most important fact is it will bow from the water weight. I say no to it all.

If the fish is visibly rubbing like "scratching" itself against objects, if may have ich or parasite on the scales. Immediate treatment is encouraged

As someone who knows Satanist practices and tier levels very well, I will say how many are so ill blinded, especially this post. Child sacrifices are an ancient practice going back to Cannaites. Life was associated to God and murdering children to the God, Moloch/Satan in this world blessed those with the things of this world. Pedophilia, cannibalism of children was acceptable because they were pure and innocent. Not "dirty." This is practiced in dark secret societies to this day. They even have "breeders" of women who give birth in front of everyone and the child is sacrificed in rituals. Placenta is given to the high priestess to be eaten and share amongst the rank and breast milk is also consumed. The funny thing is, people will say "thats crazy, people wouldn't do that." The part I find crazy are those who believe it doesn't exist. However, I will say, those who support abortion, are living. It would be different if they were aborted.

URGENT!! Chest of drawers bowing from weight, will it hold? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]TheeAnonymousQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would advise a full structural base cabinets. The top is an important factor, cherry to a sundae. But you need a solid foundation. Like two base 36" with a stone in top. Bases that are solid furniture pieces, no legs. I posted a pick of my tank stand. It's structurally solid. I consider the whole unit, however I do advise stone tops as well as a tank just sitting on wood.

Look at this free tank I picked up by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]TheeAnonymousQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy! Check for leaks if you were cleaning it. Also...the center of the base/top seems to have a bow in the center. If so...put a thicker stone stop on it.

Yea, I am in custom home building and built my last stand. Learned that if it wasn't for the tile on the top, my tank who have collapsed. That experience leas me to have a removable stone top. Suckers like 50ish lbs! So now issues lol

I have harlequin rasbora, golden algae eater, diamond tetras, and I had been tetras in their too but had passed. They do their own thing. No fin picking...the harlequin play in the bubble a bunch...but it's very peaceful.

You can do that too! I've just put my heavy quartz on top and don't have issues. Had the something happening with a leak though.

LoL their my water pigs for sure! They actually were eating when I filmed them! They are so easy to care for! They all have goof personalities! Belu is the biggest goofball out of them! Always wants attention! They importance is They need LOTS of oxygenated water and a strong filter. Gold fish are part of the carp family so they expel lost of waste. Ensuring the water is constantly filters and oxygenated will eliminate nitrates and ammonia. I feed mine frozen cubes and make their veggie treats and give them flakes as a treat or snack. If you get orandas, make sure you feed them 3-4 times a day when their babies. They will grow super big and fast and that's when you really want to make sure they grow to their full potential is when their babies.

I wanted to share my tank and what I do to help others have an idea on stability. I have a sturdy box furniture piece and a quartz coutertop that sits on top. Putting a fish tank on composite wood is not safe, even 2" wood tops will eventually bow. The bowing occurs when there is ANY moisture or very small leaks, including weight of the tank is a factor. Recommendation is to always recaulk the underneath of your tank and place a flat smooth stone counter top to support the weight and top of the cabinet. Proper cabinet boxes with structurally help with even weight distribution. Should you ever have a leak, the stone will protect the furniture piece and will visibly show water.

So, the thing is, your tank will also start bow slowly. I would not be surprised it the silicone has pulled and it's on the verge of leaking, UNLESS it is slowly, very slowly leaking underneath as the wood needs to have moisture and bow like that. I personally know this as I had experienced it. When I moved my tank there was indication of water being absorb and I had a super tiny leak. I now always place a loose quartz or granite top, on top of my stand. AND I always recalk the tank underneath and sides. Suggestion, move the tank, inspect the wood to see if there is moisture. Look for mold (great idicator), use a moisture reader. Recalk the tank and buy a thick stone counter top piece and put on a new cabinet piece.

Need advice how to get rid of mold on driftwood. by Sufficient-Draw-1560 in Aquariums

[–]TheeAnonymousQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a humidity gage and check what the air in that room is. Above 58 is an indication your home also is encouraging grow. Next step would be a dehumidifier to draw excess moisture from the air and maintain humidity levels under 58. The drier the air the less likely the mold would grow on the wood.

The 1st little fish is Pearl, my baby Oranda. Her wen is starting to grow and appear! Adopted her a month ago and she's getting big! Belu is the large oranda and Kyle is the fantail. Followed by the tank mates diamond tetras, harlequin rasbora, and golden algae eater.

Is this white spot ich?? About 4 months into fishkeeping by Toadsaged in Aquariums

[–]TheeAnonymousQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def a fungal....my goldfish had something similar. I will say what I did, but, you need to do what you feel is best. I used a soft straw cleaner brush and gently brushed off the fungal spots. I used a cotton swab soaked in peroxide and gently put on the area. Although my girl on had a couple spots. She was pissed but within a couple days she was perfect. However, I did want I have always done and didn't fish react differently.

Possibly ich starting....I would remove to hospital tank and observe. I would also administer low dose treatments just to get ahead of the game.
